Postpartum Belly Wrap plus size C-Section Recovery Girdle belly Band/Belt Shapewear,Cotton

All the reviews I read were by people who bought this after childbirth -- the product does say postpartum recovery wrap, after all. But I used it after surgery to remove my gallbladder. As soon as I was awake after surgery, the nurse wrapped me in a hospital stomach band which I wore for the first few days at home. But it was a bit large, scratchy, and had blood stains on it. I really wanted something that was more comfortable and obviously minus the blood. I spent a really long time looking all over the internet, reading reviews, and finally settled on this particular item. It is very comfortable and has given me great support while I heal from my Cholecystectomy. I am at week 4 and still wearing it. If I'm sitting or sleeping I feel fine, but I feel much better wearing it if I'm walking about doing chores. My incisions still haven't quite healed so I'll keep wearing it until I no longer feel any twinges. I wish I had known about something like this after my Caesarean because it would have helped, but that was 30 years ago. I'm glad I bought this now, though. I'm 5'4" and weight 125 lbs. and I bought the medium.

I like the soft cotton this wrap os made of. I also like the type of velcro used and how it wraps in two sections, allowing for movement such as bending over. However the stitching around the metal supports is weak. Now when I wear it, the metal supports slide down and out of the material and it hurts my hips.

This was complicated to put on and did not cover or tightened my abdomen evenly. Very lumpy under clothing.

Very comfortable. Wearing as soft back support. Working well.

My wife likes the material and how it hugs your body shape. She used it because she just had a baby a month ago
