Taffy Town Assorted Gourmet Sassy Salt Water Taffy, 5 Lb Bag (Sour)

Tangy and flavorful. Way better than plain salt water taffy

This sassy taffy is so delectable. I bought some at a candy shop near my house a few months ago, and the delicious flavor has haunted my every waking moment. So! I eventually broke down and bought more. Five pounds more, to be precise. I'm an adult now and I can use my hard-earned money for ludicrous things like five freaking pounds of taffy. Luckily, the taffy was way cheaper here than it was at my local store so I didn't even feel too guilty.I was worried that the candy from this listing would be hard or taste like the inside of an abandoned warehouse but it came sealed up so the candy was deliciously fresh and still soft. I have very begrudgingly shared this candy with several friends and everyone has loved it. I especially recommend this taffy to those whose palates are inclined toward sour things.

I work in housekeeping at a major hotel in Vegas. A guest left a few of these behind. They tasted SO good, I ordered a five pound bag. I love them. My only complaint is they don’t stay soft forever. I mean I’ve had them for 4 months. And what’s left of the bag isn’t soft anymore. It’s not rock hard either tho.

I decided to get a hold of a 2Lb bag of this stuff after reading reviews. I had just knocked through a 3 Lb back of Sweets assorted salt water taffy, and it was awesome.First off the sour part - It's good. I'm a huge sour candy fan (sour patch kids YUM), but i'm also very sensitive to when its overly sour. It can be gross then, but this hits the mark pretty good.Salt - Okay, I get it..it's salt water taffy. After comparing Sweets with this, I have to say this candy missed the mark on the salt part. It's a little TOO salty overall. If they could dial it down just a bit, they would have something really nice.Flavors - All of the flavors are okay. I would critique two of them though:The yellow is lemon -- eh. Probably my least favorite. Putting a sour flavor with sour candy just didn't do it for me. Man, if this was banana I think it would be awesome (yeah I know there's some banana haters out there).The blue is -- who knows what it is. It's very mellow. Blue was one of my favorites with Sweets, but this comes a little bland. What happens is the saltiness of it really screams on this one. Maybe some more flavoring, and a little less salt like I mentioned before (though all colors are a bit salty but i'm sure that's in the base of the mix).For all those negatives, its still GOOD candy! I feel the value for the purchase is well worth it as well. I do recommend the candy, and doubt they will change their recipe over a simple review, but it's honest feedback.

I first got these at a candy store in California. I love the grape and blue raspberry in particular. Just the right amount of sour/tart. And I like sour candy, too much in these and it'd be too much, but these are just right

I bought these on a recent trip to San Francisco and when I came home I had to reset them. This was the second order.

Absolutely love the lemon, lime, & orange flavors. Good & tart!!!

Excellent taste and freshness. I like using this in my freeze dryer! Only problem I have is, keeping my family from eating my supply.
