Hand Pump Vacuums in Freshness Food-storage System

This product is super. I prepare a large container of salad each week and we are only two people in the household. By the time the weekend rolls around, the salad is getting very limpy and watery. When I received this 21 pc. set of vacuum containers I, immediately, put my big bowl of salad in the largest container and vacuum sealed it. I had the salad in this container for over 2 weeks.and when I took it out of the refrigerator and opened it for the first time, I found the salad to be as crunchy and fresh as the first day.

Not worth… disappointedAfter 3 times pumping the lead will stay caved-in (will not recover to flat) after air release, especially the bigger size, and the pump will not have a flat area to engage ending with unsealed container.Due to lead caved-in the container useless and unable to use even as a standard container

This is a valuable product and I do not regret buying it. Some things with a high moisture content do not last more than a day or two longer than using a standard container. You would have to experiment. Also, it has not worked at all with raw meet. It does do well with cooked items and most fruit.

We bought these because our son loves guacamole and his favorite is from our local market. We saw that they advertised it would last longer but we did not find that to be true it still browned up. We are going to try to put lime juice over the top the next time to see if that helps. I still gave a high rating because my wife eats a lot of fruit and was very happy with how well it kept the fruit lasting.

One of the best investments for the kitchen. We have already seen savings on the food we don't have to throw away. Just becareful you do not "over vacuum" the container. It will slowly fold onto itself.

Said Guacamole would not turn brown and it turned brown after 3 days being in the "oxygen free" containers (after i closed and vacuumed the air out).

If these work, they're going to be great. I haven't had time to try them out. If you don't hear from me again, you'll know they work!
