a nice size and the right thing for my storage needs
Several months ago, my adult daughter bought one of these cabinets for some of the stuff she keeps at my house. We didn't have too much trouble assembling it.I decided the same style would be useful for me. My old, small house has only 2 small closets (maybe 36" wide) so storage is at a premium.I won't be using this as a pantry.Step 1: drag box into houseStep 2: inventory partsStep 3: go to local hardware store for a missing screw because I have every size except that one!Step 4: start assemblingIt's not hard to assemble. I'm a senior woman and was able to do it. I still need to install the doors but the main portion of the cabinet is assembled, standing upright, and secured to the wall (I am very safety conscious) with an angle bracket instead of the strap enclosed with the cabinet. I like that it uses the cam/cam bolt system. I've done other cabinets that didn't use that system and they were more challenging to assemble. All in all a nice cabinet. The top molding is two pieces that were joined at the factory with a special double stick tape. The 2 pieces of mine were no longer secure to each other...they flex like they have a hinge. This runs the width of the top. It's not a problem...I can glue it and that will solve the problem. That's a project for tomorrow. I consider it a minor defect...not worth returning the cabinet.I don't think you can go wrong with this cabinet. I'll use some fold-able fabric cubes for some things. I got those on Amazon as well: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B073DY54QN/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1They are quite useful! I have some in another cabinet and my daughter used them in her cabinet. They are great!

Great product for the price
Saw several negative reviews. but decided to gamble and get one. Glad I did. Came well packaged and all parts were there. The instructions were adequate, and if you followed them it went together easy. A couple things to be aware of:1 - It is heavy and clumsy. It will require 2 people to move it.2 - Try to assemble it in a room with carpeting or use knee pads. You will spend a lot of time on your knees installing all the hardware.3 - Be aware what appears to be a a large piece of packing is actually the back of the pantry4 - Do not use a screw gun to assemble. This is pressboard and can be damaged by excess tightening. If the need arises, I would definitely buy this again.

Affordable by comparison....have to be patient to assemble
I am very glad I purchased this cabinet. It's a good size for where I want to use it and the storage, with doors that close rather than open shelves, is very nice. I agree with others, it is a bit on the wobbly side. But I planned ahead for that as I have ordered inexpensive cabinets before that need to be assembled. I always use a good wood glue when putting it together (not in the holes where the turn locks are), then I let the glue cure for a day or so before I move the item. Another thing, I do NOT use the back panel that comes with it....it's way too flimsy....I opt for a thicker piece of paneling, like beadboard. Again, using glue and the little nails and letting it cure. THE ONE HEADS UP that I need to mention...the directions show how to install the doors...but the only way to do that successfully is to put them in AT THE SAME TIME you're assembling the sides / top. It seems cumbersome, and it is, but I did it myself using saw horses to hold the sides up while I wrangled the doors, top, and middle shelf into place, securing all with the sides. The other thing I did a few days before assembling was to spray paint the "natural wood-look" door handles and trim. My color scheme includes gray, so that's what I used....turned out very nice looking...top-coated it with polycrylic for durability.Even with all the modifications I do, I compared the prices of similar sized free standing cabinets....I just can't afford them (even though they are worth it). So I make do with a very affordable, modify-able, useable cabinet that ends up having every bit as much storage as one for 5X the price. I would purchase this again.

Doors do not work well, assembly confusing
I am pretty handy, but this was a very tricky piece of furniture to put together. The various screws and other pieces were not labeled and had to be organized prior to assembly. Instructions were a bit confusing but assembly was doable. Like many other reviews, once I put on the doors on, the last step, it was clear that they are quite misaligned and the doors cannot close properly without scraping shelves. . Very very very very disappointing. Do not purchase! Huge waste of time to assemble and useless in the end.

2/18/13 Well worth the money...
2/19/13 Hi...it's Dnon back to finish up with my opinion on the pantry we ordered. It has been in use long enough I feel to have a good idea how well it's going to hold up. And I have good news...it looks exactly as it did when we set it in our kitchen. We keep all manner of pantry items in it, and it's usually full. We have had absolutely no problems with it. It arrived in a timely manner. There was no charge for shipping..a huge savings. My husband and grandson got it all together and in our kitchen in about 1 1/2 hours. Someday I would like to have a black piece that's a little more like furniture so it matches our black dining table. When that happens, this one is going in our office.5/23/12 Have been looking for a pantry for sometime. Many caught my eye, however few of these were within the price range I needed. I ordered this pantry because it was the size I needed, it looks nice in the picture and the price was what I was looking for. It arrived yesterday. The box is extremely heavy...a good thing. Hopefully means the pantry will hold up well. Also means I'm VERY pleased that this product qualified for "free" shipping. Today we begin the process of putting it together. When all is said and done, I will write another review and we'll see how mine compares to the many others here. Wish me luck!
