Polyform Sculpey Premo Polymer Oven-Bake Clay, Translucent, 8 oz bar

Premo translucent is one of my favorite clays to use. I finally decided to try this larger size after quickly going through the smaller packs available at my local craft store pretty quickly. The price is great for the quantity! I love how smoothe and easy it is to handle! It’s easy to condition by hand with an acrylic roller or just a few times through my pasta machine. It’s a versatile color to have if you love to try your hand at different polymer clay projects like creating faux gemstones or creating skin colors for dolls. I love the different effects you can get depending on how you add color (if you want to), by adding a bit of another color of clay, mica powder, or alcohol ink. I love Premo quality for my jewelry projects. They’re easy to use, the colors are fun, and if you keep them wrapped, they last a long time.

Very hard and crumbly as if it were already partially cured or very old. Update: After returning the bad clay (no hassle), I received a new one in a few days that was in perfect condition. :)

The block of clay cracked multiple times before I even opened it, and after I opened it and began to (attempt to) use it, it would not soften. I put it in a plastic baggie in hot water, it still would not soften. I worked it for twenty minutes with my hands, it would not soften. It crumbles and falls apart and cannot be worked into a simple ball. I am now left with useless crumbs of clay. Absolutely unusable. Very, very disappointing. The packaging also says 2020, but that may just be when their copyright was renewed, so take that with a grain of salt, although with the quality of the clay, I would not be surprised if it was multiple years old.

Premo is much stiffer than sculpey III and takes more time to condition but, the added plasticizers in Premo makes it a much better end product. It does not break nearly as easily as Sculpey III. It is very strong. The white Premo is also much brighter and whiter compared to Sculpy III white clay. This is also easier to use than Fimo. It doesn't burn as easy. A quick tip when baking in a toaster oven is to bake on a ceramic tile which you line with parchment to prevent a shiny bottom to the clay. This helps prevent the clay from burning. Also tent your project with foil or a pan turned upside down. This will also prevent scorching.

Premo is a good clay to work with. It's pliable after baking.

I would not use any other brand. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong color. Re-ordered what I needed.

very bad product.. dry and no way to use it .. waste of money

Unfortunately I have the same experience as the others here. It took so much time to condition it, but it was never as it should be. It never got flexible, that was just impossible. Even softener didn't help. It was cracking constantly while sculpting. It should not be like this with this brand...

Alles goed ontvangen. Niet droog zoals meegedeeld met de vorige recensie. Zeer goed kwaliteit

Ho sempre usato le marche "blasonate" e devo dire che Sculpey è veramente top!!!!
