It Seems To Work
I just got a new turntable from Amazon Vine and they concurrently offered me this Turntable Stabilizer LP Record Weight by Monosaudio, so I thought I'd try it.The idea is that the Weight is placed on top of a Vinyl Record, while it's spinning on the turntable. This is supposed to stabilize the record and compensate for any wobble or warps and make the old record sound better. The Product Page says that it weighs 320 grams, or 11.3 ounces. However, the box clearly says that it weighs 280 grams. According to my kitchen scale, it does weigh 11.3 ounces, so I guess that settles that.I tested it on an old Vinyl of mine that I knew is warped and therefore wobbly. It definitely sounded better with the weight on it. I could actually hear the difference, but I consider myself an audiophile. There is a confusing statement on the Product Page that says, "with Bubble Leveling for Vibration Balanced". I have absolutely no idea what that means, but the top of the device has a small "window" with a clear liquid. Within the liquid is a bubble. However, I am confused as to the purpose, function or effectiveness of this feature. Also, I was a little nervous about the effect of this weight on the turntable, but it doesn't seem to have hurt the turntable any.I watched a couple of videos on the efficacy of record weights and they all said that they can and do make a difference, especially if your record is warped. As I have a few old warped records, I decided that this was a good acquisition. Also, I noticed that, as Record Weights go, this particular Record Weight is it the low end of the average price for a Record Weight, so that's a good thing. A weight is a weight, so I don't see how paying a lot of money for a Record Weight can make a big difference. One of the informational Videos I watched said that you can pay up to two hundred dollars for a Record Weight. That's a lot of money for a Product I never heard of until I ordered it.All in all, I like this Product because it did make a difference in the sound of my warped records. I am therefore recommending it. I considered giving it Five Stars, but I didn't like the confusing statement that it features, "Bubble Leveling for Vibration Balanced". I am very turned off by English that's more warped than any of my Vinyl records. But I will give it Four Stars, as it does seem to work.

Good to check level and for records that aren't totally flat
I mostly wanted this because of the spirit level in the middle to make sure my turntable is always perfectly level. What I didn't realize is this is more like a paperweight for records and it helps flatten out any that are slightly warped. This not only prevents the needle from jumping the groove, but it does noticeably improve the audio fidelity from warped records and evens out the tone and speed. It can't work on extremely warped records but I have been impressed at how well it works on my Music Hall turntable.I've been working on improving the tone over the years by changing cartridges, adjusting the tonearm, and calibrating it but this vibration reducer seems to have had one of the biggest effects on the quality of the sound overall. The overall quality of this thing is very nice. It's made of a heavy piece of machined aluminum and has a nice anodized black finish. It weighs almost 3/4 pound and should work on any audiophile grade turntable. I've never used something like this before and if you had asked me before, I'd think it was a gimmick. Maybe it is, but it's definitely working for me and I'm enjoying my records now more than ever, especially some of my rare old slightly warped albums.

Over the years some of my albums have become a little wobbly
I saw this and thought t would be something cool to use. Some of my records over the years have become slightly warped for no reason I can figure and when they are played you can hear the warp. This is a chunk of metal you put on top of your record when you are about to play something. This flattens your record out and makes it sound better. I didn't go any further then that and am happy with the results. I use this on my normal records as well to keep them from getting messed up on the record player. I like the sound of my records and do not want to digitize my stuff to just listen to so this gives me a little security knowing a skip might not be as devastating.I have used this on Dramarama's Cinema Verite and a first pressing of Warsaw's the Ideal. Both records survived and that was enough for me.If you are looking for something to try on your albums give this a shot. It does work on slightly warped albums and does keep straight albums on the tray.
