I was in need of a good serrated edge knife but also wanted to get an offset handle and the Mbercer Culinary knives kept coming up in my searches. I can't sing the praises enough about using an offset handle especially after having one of those "As seen on TV" Ginsu knives that I used for years. :) This one is SO much better. I love the grippy handle. It feels solid and stable in my hand, and I can make fairly precise cuts through vegetables and meats. But where this knife shines is in making thin cuts through crusty bread. I'm an amateur artisan bread maker and having a knife that easily cuts through crusty bread is essential. And at the price point it's at, I won't feel bad if it gets damaged. I'll just get a new one, though it feels well-built and sturdy enough to last for quite awhile. And as long as I maintain the blade (I have the correct sharpening tools), I do see having to another one anytime soon.

Sharp light knife for cutting and trimming meats. The steel is hard enough to stay sharp but not so hard to sharpen easily and chip. Important to have a small and thin tip area for this. Couple this with a big butcher knife... great for portioning lovely steaks

Sharpest knife in the kitchet. Affordable. Wish it came with a proper sheath for fishing trips.
