Great floatie!
Love this floatie! My daughter loves it. Bought a second one because our dog destroyed the first one. Had the first one for a couple months. This floatie gives me a piece of mind when I’m in the pool with her. 10/10

Creating a confident swimmer!
My 3 year old absolutely loves this. From the moment we put it on, she was swimming confidently independently. She just went right into the water without fear, and has been swimming so proudly. I like that the design allows free movement of her arms, unlike the puddle jumper style float, and also allows her to lean forward and practice paddling while still keeping her afloat. I imagine we can slowly deflate the tube (there are two tubes, actually, so maybe just deflating a whole tube) to help her move toward more independent swimming as time goes on. I think she should be doing really well by the end of summer. We are hoping she can swim well before our trip to Orlando in August. So far so good! The only complaint we have about it is the crotch strap. She does complain about it sometimes, and the little pad doesn't really stay in place, so I can see why it's uncomfortable. I try to position it more in the leg area but it moves while she swims, and pulls taught while shes in the water due to her body weight through the tube, so she's sitting on the thin strap right between the cheeks. I think a foll coverage snap-on bottom made of the same material as the vest (like a baby onesie style, so still easy on and off) would have been more comfortable and easy enough to implement in the design (and I would have paid more for that option). I may try stitching the pad in place where it should be, since I don't imagine she will outgrow the strap-size before she is swimming without it, but it doesn't really seem to do that much in the way of padding anyway. Overall, still a great purchase that we have very much enjoyed! Worth it for the proud look on my daughter's face!

Useful but not 100% reliable
My 2 year old loves her floatie and I like that it shows her to swim on her belly. She spins around and kicks all over the place. The biggest negative are the plastic tube really needs to be replaced with a rubber one and the plastic valve will randomly pop out causing it to deflate (had two products I've tested this on). So needless to say I'm having to watch her like a hawk for any changes. If they put a bicycle valve on it instead like a real innertube this would solve that problem. The other issue is the cord that buckles, it needs to be wider in the middle so that it doesn't give them an instant deep wedgie. That like sliding piece does nothing for this problem as it moves out of place almost instantly. This product gives us some freedom but can't be trusted completely which is why I'm giving it a 4 not 5 star. I'm currently looking for a rubber infertile to replace this one so I'll have more peace of mind.

Worked great for a 2 1/2 year old!
First time in the pool this year with a 2 1/2 year old and this worked perfectly. She had to work a "little" bit which is great. It's not just a "floater" you stick them in and push them around. You have to be with them in the water. She never did tip over and had to use her arms and legs. Just what we were looking for!

Good if the kiddo can hold themself up in water
It’s just a cheap made thin item. If the kiddo can’t swim or hold themself up in water. Do not buy this one. It’s not at all like a life jacket. Is not a life jacket of course. But it gives that impression that it would be used like a life jacket with a ring attached. For a mature 2 year old. Otherwise I’d say three and older for sure. Support isn’t too great. It has the tightening strap between the legs. That’s cushiony and soft. But I’m sure it not comfy on a bare shorts bottom. Definitely want a swim diaper on. I would only trust this in a small pool setting. I wouldn’t go to the public pool and drop my kiddo in and walk off. It’s not that sturdy.

Okay floatie option.
Firstly, I think the rating should be based upon height, not weight. I have a 23 pound 13 month old that is tall enough to be in 18 month clothes. Based on weight, she was barely big enough to use this floatie... but the safety strap was barely long enough to fit under her. It was too tight to use practically, because it caused the flip forward thing you see other reviews complaining about. I tried not buckling the strap, that’s not practical either because she started slipping out of the floatie. The inner tube has two separate chambers. Easy to inflate, but the valve caps kept sliding out after I pushed them in. I almost gave up that I was going to be able to keep them in so that the air wouldn’t immediately squeeze out. To me that’s a significant flaw in a floatation device. Since my kid is so tall, I’ll probably try something advertised for a heavier weight. I just don’t trust her in this without me hanging onto her. Maybe some have better luck.

Best Toddler Swim Product!
This product is perfection! If you're a parent who has experienced buyer's remorse on more than one occasion for all the baby/toddler items that everyone "has" to have, you will surprised by and thrilled with this swim aid. I purchased three rather useless products for my now two-year-old prior to in an attempt to find something that let's her have fun and makes time in the pool less stressful for me. I hate just holding her because (a) she's not learning to be comfortable in the water on her own, (b) I fear that if something would happen to me while we are swimming alone, she wouldn't be able to help herself, and (c) I like to swim and would have more fun swimming beside her rather than standing there holding her. This product gave her almost instantaneous comfort in the water. After just three swim sessions, she's already swimming on her own (with me beside her, of course). Because of how nicely it fits both in and out of the water, she is able to climb the pool stairs with it on and is even happy to sit around wearing it while she takes a snack break or while we reapply sunscreen. She is so confident and happy in her "ring"! I wait to see how well she's swimming by the end of the summer!

Had one when my daughter who is now 21 was a toddler and this is amazing. Purchased this one for my 3 year old niece. Not sure if this the same brand because I found the material rather light compared the the one 18 years ago as I feel that it would rip easily. However, it does what it's supposed to do and let your toddler swim on their own. Of course have to be right beside the toddler at all times but gives them the opportunity to kick and move around learning skills.
