Almost Too Good - The Perfect Brush Clearing Tool
I bought the EGO Power+ 12” Brush Cutter to tackle some overgrown areas on my property, and I can confidently say this thing is an absolute beast. It works so well it’s almost concerning — it will cut through just about anything you put in front of it. Thick brush, tall weeds, even small saplings don’t stand a chance. What used to take me hours with manual tools or weaker trimmers now gets done in a fraction of the time. The power is impressive, but it’s also surprisingly easy to handle, well-balanced, and efficient. Clearing large areas has never been quicker or easier. If you’re dealing with heavy brush or overgrowth, this is hands-down the perfect tool for the job. Just be mindful — it’s so effective you’ll want to be careful what you point it at! Highly recommended for anyone serious about land maintenance or property clearing.

Fabulous Rechargeable Chainsaw For Residential Use - Efficient And Works Great!
We have several Ego products, and recently purchased this 14-inch Ego Rechargeable Chainsaw to replace a very old gas powered chainsaw. So very pleased with the purchase, another Ego product that did not disappoint! The 14-inch length is perfect for residential use. The chainsaw is easy to carry, maneuver, and use. Charges quickly with long battery life. Shares the same battery with all other Ego products, so handy to not have to mess with a wide array of different batteries! The chainsaw if powerful, too. My husband Jim made quick work of both cutting down a nasty large palm bush - see photo of the stump - and cutting up a wooden pallet and an wooden wall tent support pole. The Ego brand is more expensive than other rechargeable brands, but considering the durable construction, easy to use and long lasting products, and the ease of same battery for all Ego products, the extra expense is definitely worth it. I highly recommend this product.

Great piece of gear!
Bought this because I'm tired of mixing gas and oil, using a tankful and having so much mixed unused gasoline leftover in the garage. This EGO chainsaw is quiet, efficient and slices through firewood and small tree limbs like butter. I figure the battery will last about 1 hour of constant cutting. I cut 3 wheel barrows of wood in 30 minutes of less. I like the design of the saw. Chain adjustment is quick and easy and good value for the money. Oh, and the chain lube tank doesn't leak like gas-powered chainsaws-a big plus! I highly recommend! I haven't used my gas-powered chainsaw since buying this tool. I will probably sell my gas chainsaw in the Spring.

Timber!!!!
Like most folks in the Nashville, TN area, the recent ice storm left lots of downed trees and limbs in our yard. We had some fence damage too. The fence can't be fixed until all the limbs are dealt with. We've had some no call/no show tree companies the last 2-3 weeks, so frustration rules the day. We decided to do most of the work ourselves since none of the trees or limbs are over 6"-10" diameter. We'll let a tree company (if one ever shows up) deal with the trees that caused actually property damage that's covered under our homeowner's policy. Plus, some of the trees will require a snorkel lift or bucket truck to reach. We needed a chainsaw, but I've always disliked traditional gas-powered chainsaws and all the mess from the fuel and oil and they're noisy AF and they're great little pollution makers. We bought an EGO Power + LB7654 Leaf Blower last year with a 56v 5.0Ah battery that is allegedly the most powerful battery operated unit in existence. It does an incredible job and the battery lasts a really long time. Since we already had the battery and charger, we ordered the 16" EGO Power + CS1610 chainsaw on Amazon Prime. We used it yesterday to cut up fallen trees and limbs in our back yard. It was in use for two hours and cut through everything like butter with battery to spare. Color me impressed. Its the best $219 we've spent in a long time. If you're looking for an electric chainsaw, you cant go wrong here. The batteries are expensive though, so be prepared to dig deep. Now, if EGO Power + would only make some day laborer robots to schlep all the cut up trees and limbs down to the curb. 🤔

Nice saw
Light and powerful. 4ah batter lasts longer than I really would want to use a chainsaw in the first place and charges fast enough to give you a nice rest break. Of course once you have one Ego tool, you'll probably want more, many which come with batteries, so yo canc jus swap out. Easy adjustment of chain. No 2-cycle hassle. No cord. The almost all plastic constriction may be a long term durability issue, but I think as long as you're not too rough on it, the light weight makes up for it.

It's a good electric chainsaw. I had my doubts, it's blowing them away
I am set to inherit a small tree farm. I bought this for the farm and had it a week. This was the best deal I could find after researching exactly what I wanted. Good things: easy to operate, quick to start, solid build, light weight compared to its gas competition, chain adjustment is simple, it gets ~130 cuts per charge (I bought a 5 ah battery). I've had it a week and it's cut 5 mature hardwoods into firewood. Its keeping up with my boyfriend and my farm. A surprise for me, the batteries for it automatically diagnose their own problems and fix them. Weirdly nice. No negatives yet. I'm waiting.

Best battery operated chainsaw
This is the second ego battery powered chainsaw that i have owned. The first one was a 16" one, i thought they would be all the same, just with different cutting lengths. I used the first one for about 2 years before the it would not work from being overused. I have already cut two trees down with this one and it is a lot stronger. The best part of using a battery operated one, if not broken, they alwasy work. I also have a Husqvarna 435, and this one is easier to use as it needs not gas.oil mix and no pulling on a cord to start. They both seam to cut at about the same rate. I have several batties already for the EGO brand and a 5 Ah one lasts about 1/2 hour of constant use. I would recomend this chainsaw

Best chainsaw I have ever used- pay no mind to the silly negative reviews
Unlike many electrics, this thing has a ton of power, even more than gas-powered. This matters because places a normal chainsaw gets pinched and stops, this one can power through. It also doesn't overheat, doesn't put out fumes, and starts with the touch of a button. It makes you much more efficient. Let me say a bit about batteries- I did use a slightly stronger one than recommended (10ah), not sure if that matters. But it lasted about an hour. In response to the review that needed to change battery every two cuts, mine did two whole trees on one battery, plus a little into a third. These were 30 foot pines with 15-18 inch trunks. I cut off every bough and cut logs into one foot long sections. Again, that's two entire trees on one battery. From my experience, that would be about three tanks of gas. Granted, if you only have one battery and a very big job to do, you'll need to take a lunch break while you charge. I suspect that reviewer may have bad batteries or vastly over-tightened their chain. In response to the review about 69 drive links on the chain, it is true that that is not standard, but the writer VASTLY exaggerates the problem. They are not hard to find. Amazon sells them. I think the reviewer was just in a complaining mood when they found out that the normal 20 inch chain they bought didn't fit. But also, as an environmentally friendly option, don't forget that lots of hardware stores do chain sharpening too!

I would buy again if needed.
Received the box looked tampered with possibly used but the product has no signs of wear. I already have batteries therefore there was no need to but one with a battery. The product works and I am pleased with it with ego will go with the rest of my ego products. I haven't used it yet but I will shortly and I I need to I will change this review. 5yr warranty
