CREOLE MUSTARD - All Natural Gourmet Creole Ground Mustard, Fat Free and Mildly Spicy Mustard, Maison Louisianne Shut-My-Mouth Mustard, 10oz

This is an only-one-of-its-kind creole mustard. It has sweetness and a smooth, rounded flavor, unlike the piquant acid burn of most mustards. You could almost eat it right out of the jar--actually I have. *blush* I made a shrimp remoulade with it that my Cajun parents could not rave enough about. I put it on po-boys for non-Cajun friends and they were blown away. If you want that touch that is going to take your recipe over the top, this is the ticket.

Product was exactly as advertised. Bottles were very securely wrapped. On closer inspection one bottle had a dented cap which broke the seal and allowed liquid to leak out so it was destroyed.

Good quality, good taste. Excellent option when making deviled eggs.

It looks sealed, but I have never seen a shrink wrap seal under the jar label, and there was no pop when opening that usually accompanies the breaking of a jar seal. I should've known from the box tape over the lid. Sure enough, there's mustard on the jar rim, and the top of the mustard had dried out and oxidized, so the canning process failed and this shouldn't have been sent out. It's not food-safe. As a canning hobbyist and with years of working in a restaurant (read food safety experience), I couldn't serve this to my family at the risk of food poisoning. It was really disappointing as I was looking forward to trying this in a new recipe.

I first got this mustard to make remoulade and I must say it’s some of the best stuff I’ve ever put in my mouth. (I was gratified to read here that I was not the only one to have eaten it right out of the jar.)On top of that, it turns remoulade into a religious experience. I’ve never served remoulade made with it to anything less than raves, and when I pass on the recipe, I always tell everybody to be sure to use Maison Lousianne creole mustard, because that’s what makes it. What I don’t tell them is that they could probably just slather this wonderful stuff directly on the shrimp and not bother to make remoulade at all.For whatever it’s worth, I’ve ordered this mustard multiple times and never had an issue with it coming open en route.

This Creole mustard is simply the best mustard I have ever put in my mouth. I put it on everything! Dislikes: The price and the fact they sent me an open bottle and mustard was EVERY WHERE and they don't do refunds. I highly recommend this product. Deyummylicious!

This is seriously the perfect mustard if you're looking for something with a little kick. It tastes like a magical yellow mustard with tangy hints of spice - put it on anything you already put mustard on! We will definitely get it again.

Jar was opened a mustard leaked all over the bubble wrap. Mustard taste is too sweet and does not have mustard taste expected, as it was camouflaged by some sweet additives and spices. Not value for the money, but more importantly, not sure if it is safe to use, as it was already opened.
