Stanley FATMAX Professional Grade Garden Hose, 50 Feet x 5/8 Inch, Yellow, 500 PSI

I have purchased several other types of garden hoses after buying my home and these are the best. The expanding hoses will rupture sooner or later so no offense against the actor who swears by them in his commercials, they don't last and they are a pain in the butt when they start to break down despite any promises or guarantees. On top of that those hoses have aluminum fittings and I found out the hard way when I broke a pipe trying to unscrew it that they fuse to galvanized or iron hose bibs. These fat Max hoses are the best with stainless steel and Brass in the couplings, super durable and very UV resistant. Like I said I own three of them and I live in the high desert where the climate isn't very favorable with all of the Sun and Heat, along with the cold months coming soon. I cannot recommend these highly enough and you will be a Stanley FatMax customer for life after you buy one.

It does kink but other than that it works well.

Maybe there are even better hoses out there, and strangely, some reviewers are complaining about corrosion and fittings that fall off. Well, that's not my experience. This is my second FatMax hose. The first, now 15 years old, is the original black with yellow stripe. Still soft and flexible in cold and hot weather. Rarely kinks and has easy grip connectors. I was concerned about the color denoting a difference in quality, but not so. This one performs like the other one. The best feature is its flexibility in cool/cold weather. And while my 'NeverKink' hoses are always kinking, the FatMax rarely does. Staying with what I know, 5 Stars.

This is the second of this hose I’ve purchased. The first one I had 4 years before I decided I had to replace it. This hose stays out in the garden practically year round, so you can bet it’s been exposed to summer temps over 100, freezing winter temperatures, snow and ice and everything between. Yes it will kink sometimes but rarely. Super flexible, soft, easy to handle too. If you want a durable and dependable hose that can take environmental abuse, get this one.

I hose over a year ago. I use it at my office to wash a truck here and there, once a week at the most. Immediately noticed that the water flow was significantly restricted compared to what I had previously. Hose kinks extremely easy. I keep this hose on a coil in front of the building facing west, in large loops (approx 10 feet each) this hose kinks non stop every time i pull it a different direction. Now it has become sticky on the outside. Leaves a mess on your hands if you grab it. Complete junk!

Watch the price on this one! Don't buy it unless it's less than $30. I bought mine from Amazon for $26.00 in May, 2017, just came back to buy another one, and they want almost $50 for the same hose!!!!!!!! I drag over 200' of hose around my house, as I have a 100' x 100' vegetable garden, a rose garden, several perennial beds, and farm animals. All need water. I drag a hose around every single day in the summer. This is the best hose I've used. The thing that sets it apart from the Flexzilla hose (I've tried a LOT of hoses) is the hose ends. The plastic piece that gives you extra torque is so comfortable to use and makes it really easy to connect/disconnect the hoses. That said, the Flexzilla is good too, so if it's cheaper you might want to buy that one. :) The biggest complaint I see people having is that they say that it's not really "no-kink." Listen people, EVERY hose will kink. Hell, growing up on a farm we had a super-expensive, all-rubber, super thick, super heavy hose for washing down the milking parlor, and even that would kink every once in a while. This hose will kink, especially when there is no water in it. Once it's full of water, however, kinks are rare and are cleared with just a flick of the hose. Compared to the permanent kinks I've gotten in hoses in the past, this hose is a blooming miracle. I've had my FatMax hoses for about six weeks now. They've made my life so much easier that I'm in the process of upgrading all my hoses to this or the Flexzilla (which I don't like quite as much but if it's cheaper, I'll go for that one). So far, so good. I'll update this if they all go to hell over the winter (gotta drag a hose around in winter, animals still need water. Not my favorite part of winter life.)

This is a great hose! Not too big and not too small! Usually all hose have issues, to long, to short, to fat or to thin! This Stanley Fat Max is the perfect hose and Fat in just the right places. Works well in the front and back yard. I’m super happy with this hose, I might buy more hose for my friends to enjoy!

Good quality, lasted for 2 yrs now.

This is a really good hose. I have 5 of them, all different lengths, I live in a pretty cold climate, wild temp fluctuations, and no issues with any of the hoses. The complaints about the ends breaking and falling right off: mine haven't moved or cracked at all, what are using to tighten and untighten, vice grips? lol? The complaints about not kink proof: Don't be naive, no hose is kink proof. This is softer and better than most and has little memory. Common sense Tip: it comes from the manufacturer tightly coiled up (as all hoses do). Uncoil it fully, and leave it in the sun for a day two. Viola! The complaints about it being cheap plastic. The covers on the ends are plastic, the fittings are not, FYI, some flexzilla hoses have plastic covers too and they are not criticized for being "cheap". Like any hose, you leave it outside all year long, you leave the water running constantly all season long, you drive over it with your car, you are just asking for leaks, splits and breaks. This is a common sense issue, not a problem with this hose.

Sturdy. Well made and doesn’t kink.

The price for this product is definitely a great value, and I haven’t encountered any leaking issues at the connections. However, the hose is somewhat heavy, which makes it necessary to manage it properly while watering. If the hose isn’t arranged well, the nozzle can be difficult to control. It would be even better if this aspect could be improved.
