Exactly as expected
All the reviews were pretty spot on. Small bag, crumbly, not very flavorful. Pop some garlic salt or paprika in the bag and you're good to go! Debating on making a flour with them and using it to bread some chicken. I'm a foreman at a body shop and only 3 of the guys were willing to try them and the rest scattered so it was an entertaining day. Keep water nearby because they are dry.

Not bad but very small package
Excellent packaging. I should have looked but was shocked at how small the bag is. The crickets and grasshoppers have little taste. The large black grubs have more substance and a hint of a sweet taste. Fun to use these to mess with friends.

Finally, a snack that literally crawls down your throat.
I’ve spent plenty of time dealing with "bugs" at work, so it felt only right to finally start eating them. I picked up this Erbies Edible Bug Mixed Trail Mix, and honestly, it’s the most honest marketing I’ve seen in years. The "Feature" List: The Variety Pack: The mix includes Crickets, Grasshoppers, Silkworm Pupae, and Sago Worms. It’s like a tiny, crunchy nature documentary in a bag. Texture Analysis: If you’ve ever wondered what "crunchy on the outside, questionable on the inside" feels like, the Sago Worms are for you. They have a certain... depth of character. The "I Dare You" Factor: This is the ultimate office snack. Leave a bowl of these out during a meeting and watch everyone suddenly become very focused on their notes to avoid making eye contact with a dehydrated grasshopper. High Protein, No Drama: These bugs actually performed exactly as expected. They were seasoned well, incredibly crunchy, and strangely "ok". If you’re tired of boring, traditional snacks and want to embrace our future insect overlords one leg at a time, this is the bag for you. It’s a great conversation starter—mostly conversations that end with "Why are you like this?"

Perfect for studying!
I used the insects for my Insect Study. Most of the insects arrived intact. The children were able to identify the insects, handle them, and name the body parts. I was happy with them and will save the insects for future studies.

Attempted to return for the safety of children, and unopened items NOT eligible for return!
We ordered 5 packages of these edible bugs for a "Fear Factor" type program event at an afterschool program. We had two staff members try the bugs before feeding them to children. One staff member ate a small grub and another staff member ate a large grasshopper and a large cricket. Later that same evening, the staff member who ate the two larger bugs got violently ill with an undetermined gastrointestinal bug for several days and nearly ended up in the hospital. It was decided for the safety of the children in the program, that we would not allow the children to try the bugs, and would instead return them to the manufacturer- ONLY WE COULDN'T! We assumed the open bag would not be eligible for return, but the remaining 4 bags were completely untouched and STILL not eligible for return, which means our non-profit afterschool program that went out on a limb to provide fun programming for kiddos, is now stuck with $40 worth of bugs we cannot use OR return! Was is the bugs that made the staff member sick? We do not know, but what we DO know, is that we should have been able to return the unopened packages of bugs to the manufacturer. As for the product itself: Appearance: Exactly as expected Taste: The grasshopper reportedly tasted like salty grass, the cricket tasted less grassy but much like the shell of a sunflower seed. The grub had no distinct taste (gross or otherwise). The product arrived as expected and I don't have complaints about the product, necessarily, but I am very disappointed that I cannot return the unopened packages.

Good quality
They look like good quality. My squirrel is in his picky stage, so he isn't eating them right now. But, they are full pieces & intact. Not crumbs like 1 company i ordered bugs from. I would recommend & probably prefer again. Very small bag. So watch what size you order. This is no fault to the company.
