Can the child sit down when wearing it?

This had not occurred to me to be honest. It will be difficult to do so, but not impossible. I would suggest that it probably be deflated to do so, which is pretty simple. If you just slightly unzip the back near the neckline, it deflates enough without having to turn the fan off and detach, etc. Again, it may not be impossible to do otherwise, but probably a challenge.

What size is this or how tall?

BAYMAX WHITE INFLATABLE ADULTPart: DG-91810 Descriptions:Sku: 763995 You can be the fun, lovable robot from Big Hero 6! Inflatable jumpsuit includes a detachable fabric turtleneck collar, a 2-piece vacuform helmet, and battery-operated air-inflating fan. One size fits most adults.

Can the costume stay inflated without the mask on?

The mask is separate from the costume. So the costume will stay inflated without the mask.
