I Suck at Relationships So You Don't Have To: 10 Rules for Not Screwing Up Your Happily Ever After

This book is full of so much great information.. its a page turner and once you pick it up you definitely don't want to put it down! I took it on a recent trip with me. I didn't think I could survive a 6 hour flight but with my book it was super easy!! I love Bethenny to pieces, her quick wit, fast tongue and the ability to say what comes to her mind. Must read for anyone not just women who are looking for relationships or even if you are in a relationship.

Ashley Blackwell- Com233 Speaking as a Communication major who is learning about many different relational theories, I found this book to be informative. The book offers two key speakers, one being Bethenny Frankel and the other Dr. Xavier Amador. Each chapter includes comments, thoughts, and ideas created by Bethenny and Dr. Amador uses his 30 years of experience (personal / academic/ clinical research) to further explain in detail how she is correct or incorrect. I personally enjoyed hearing Bethenny’s experiences and found her stories coming to life. I felt as if I was able to relate to some of the experiences she had mentioned and able to laugh with her. I am sure many others will relate to this book. As for Dr. Amador, I found that his notes and content to coincide to what I learned by taking Communication courses. He mentioned many theories and principles that I have discussed throughout my different classes. Another aspect I enjoyed about this book was the inclusiveness to all sexual preferences. Before we begin reading the book she writes about how she will be using “he” because her partners have always been male. She then pleas for readers to not feel as if she is excluding anyone, she wants to make sure everyone feels as if they can relate to this book. You don’t always see popular press books that include information about a homosexual relationship. I would consider this book to be a 4 for its comedic value and a 4 for its informational value. I would recommend this book to those who has been on dates or in relationships that have not turned out okay. You won’t feel alone after reading this book!!

To people who are the same personality type as Bethanny: you will love this book!! It was like reading a book that my older self wrote. She struggles with so many of the same things that I do. I don't think that all girls can relate to this book, it just depends on your personality. (I am the ESFJ Myers Briggs type). It was one of the best books, if not THE BEST book I've ever read. She writes in ways that are so easy and fun to read. Loved it, it helped me a ton!!!

I have read two of Bethenny's books. I think she has some sound ideas about diet, exercise and relationships. I have taken away a couple nuggets from these books that have really improved my life. I think she is a complex interesting personality who keeps evolving. I like the fact that she includes her therapist's views as part of this book.

I love this book. Love or hate Bethenny ..she calls it like it is and it was an easy read. I was nodding my head throughout the entire thing. It's funny, realistic, and very Bethenny. Throughout the book, she offers little blurbs from her psychiatrist. I wish that wasn't in there. I'm sure the guy is "legit", but I also felt like it was shameless self promotion.

Bethany is a brilliant writer/author. Perhaps it's because of her experiences in life, she gives advice on so many levels and with humor! Great book, hard to put down. Thank you Bethany, you're an inspiration!!

A lot of things in this book really related to my current life. I am single, retired, and had to move into an apartment. My husband helped himself to our monies and what he wanted in my house and went away never to be heard from again. This book will help if I am able to get into another relationship. Thank you.

I love Bethenny and have read all of her books and this one is another hit. I am happily married for 7 years and took some great tips from this book. Her tips are always relevant and she gives great examples from her own love life which is refreshing and honest. I love that she included comments and advice from her therapist, Dr. Amador and also some celebrities as well.
