Dunhuang Pipa - Chinese Guitar/Lute

It was a crossroads in my life. A point in which I had to make a choice that would change my future, as well as the future of all of those around me. Someday I will look back at this decision and say, "well now". That pretty much sums that up. Any who as I was previously discussing before contracting a momentary case of projected sentimentalism. It was a crossroads in my life a fork in the road that would alter the future of myself and possibly all of mankind. A choice to be made, a point pf no return. Subtle. Like a butterfly. Love is much like a butterfly if you try to catch it it will evade you, but if you set you mind to other things and focus, it will gently land on you shoulder and comfortably make it home bringing its baggage of warmth and serenity. Perhaps I will find love someday, but I won't concern myself with that for I don't want to accidentally crush the wings of the one I love and destroy the chances of true love before being conceived. So i took the right turn and bought this beautifully crafted rendition of ancient art. It was the right choice. To strengthen one's passion of music in order to passively strengthen one's capacity for passion in all areas as well. This product is not only a work of art in itself, but it also produces a sound that is tenderly abrasive to the pallet in a most profoundly harmonious way. Elegant.

I’ve been a musician for 60 years, and I play all kinds of instruments, including the sitar. This is my first time to own an ancient instrument such as this pipa. I must admit, I love everything about China’s history, and this instrument seems to fit the bill to hear those sounds that are so typical of Chinese culture! I’m totally satisfied!

good quality, good price

Well, it`s hard to say this pipa is good or not since I`m not professional. It`s beautiful. I still have problems tuning the strings... But, anyway it sounds good to me. I ordered pipa and tape together. I guess they forgot put tape inside, I got only the pipa. Later they ship the tapes to me. Very good merchant.

Nice instrument, the sound exceeds my expectation. And it took me awhile to adjust the tune to the right place since it's a relative new one. The seller wrap the package very well. 这把琴不错，音色挺好，不过也是弹了一段时间音准才好调了一些。作为练习琴还是可以的。

Arrived quickly and in perfect condition - everything we were expecting and more - was a little surprised that the how to video was in Chinese with Japanese subtitles - but will figure it out.

It's a pipa alright! The VCD doesn't really work, and I'm missing tape. The picks also are a little too small for my fingers. Besides that though, it's a pipa!
