Would this work for hauling 40 lbs. of softner salt up the stairs?

It may fit in the cart but I found out that even though it rolls up the stairs you still have to be strong enough pull that weight from step to step

How high is the handle from the floor? I'm tall and I don't want to have to bend to pull it. Thanks!

I'm 5'7" and my daughter is 5'5". I'm here visiting her to buy groceries and take them to her third-floor walk-up. It's so short and useless I left it at home and can't measure it exactly. Bottom line it's short and there's not really a way to attach an extension. It's almost exactly the same size as the rolling book bag we had when the kids were in elementary school. I accidentally grabbed that reaching for this thing in the garage.

Does the height of the handle adjust?

It is not telescoping, however it folds in half for storage. If you have to climb stairs with groceries, this will change your life.
