Good for the money, at least.
I got this for my Mom as a christmas present. Being her first tablet, it was too glitchy andwith too many technical issues (Camera didn't work unless I restarted it, screen too touch sensitive, a few other pieves). For a first time user, I didn't want my Mom to be dealing with these issues. Otherwise resolution was great, cpu speed was tolerable, and it does give you a good feel of the android system. Get only if you are willing to put up with quality issues.

Good Tablet, Poor Support
I had an older version of the Coby Kyros internet tablet and was wanting an updated version, so when I saw they Coby had an Android Ice Cream Sandwich capacitive version for under $150, I snatched up the deal right away. GetJar has never worked, but if you download 1Mobile Market and Amazon Apps, it's like having Google Play! Got Netfilx and Adobe Flash Player working with a bit of work. Kings Office makes my table very practical for school. Everything was fine in terms of WiFi, whether I went to school or a cafe w/ internet or a coffee shop, even Burger King and Target. The problem came when I took it to work and tried to log onto the network. The tablet was able to recognize the network and ask me for my creditals, but when I entered my information, it just said "saved" and would not connect. I purchased this unit September 24th of this year brand new, so I called customer service and asked them what I can do. Their only answer is to send it back and get another one if it's broken. It couldn't get onto on server, so at the time I didn't think it was worth the effort. As I found out 10 weeks later, my tablet had an older Android Ice Cream Sandwich preloaded, 4.0.3, which was reporting problems with connecting to 802.1XX EAP secured servers. I contacted customer service again and asked them how can I correct the operating system. They told me that I have to send it in for a replacement and it would take 4-6 weeks, which is ridiculous since they are not updating my unit, but pulling another one off the shelf to send to me. Then I asked why did my tablet have an older version of the OS on it in the first place, being that Android OS Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4, 4.0.5 and Jellybean 4.1 was already out prior to my purchase. They said that's the way it is and the only option I have to is to send my current tablet in and wait 4-6 weeks. So the bottom line is this: I really like the tablet for the money, I can hook up Netflix to my HDTV, get online everywhere (but work), listen to music, watch videos, all of the advertise points and then some. However, customer service is completely lacking and even ignorant of their own product (they could not tell me how to get Netflix). They make the tablet so you cannot update the OS, even when they send you an installed version that is outdated and riddled with bugs, so if you order this tablet (I would recommend it), then make sure that you have the most up-to-date Ice Cream Sandwich OS on it before doing anything with it.UPDATE 1-11-2013SOOO.....my screen died and I have to send it back and get a new unit. They said it will take 3-4 weeks. Don't get why it takes that long to replace an item when they are not reparing my unit. As I stated earlier, the customer service is not good at all.

Great tablet for the price!
Just got this tablet two days ago and so far I'm loving it! This is my first tablet, and after reading many reviews and comparing prices and features, this seemed the best for the price. It runs apps quickly and has fair touch controls (I never was a big fan of touch screens). I've also used a pen stylus as well as my fingers and they both work well. The menus took a little getting used to (not quite like a PC) but I'm adapting quickly. I mainly bought this as a lighter replacement for my laptop to take with me on long trips and vacations, for videos and music, as well as some game apps. There are a few apps I'd like from Google, which is not available on this model, but the only thing available is the GetJar and Amazon apps programs. Still, there is a wide variety of both free and pay apps on both. The processor speed is great, videos loaded to the device directly work beautifully. Youtube videos vary due to quality, but most of the HD enabled videos look great. Some of the longer ones do lag often, but what can you expect?I added my own wallpaper and have started to put some videos and music on my tablet. I have yet to expand the memory with a micro SD card but I've ordered one, along with a USB keyboard and look forward to further customizing it.

Will work for my purpose but...
I purchased 2 of these Coby Kyros 8024 for my classroom. I have a visually impaired student and one with hand control issues. The original thought was I could load the textbooks on the tablets to be viewed large and the other student could type using a keyboard I purchased to go with them. I had hoped to do other things with them. I've had them 2 days and tried downloading several apps from GETJAR since they do not have Google Play Market. So far, everything from GetJAR with the exception of Angry Birds has been junk. There have been grammar issues, the programs all say they were created by some child in portugal and ask you to purchase a full version of a not very good product to begin with. I've looked for some very basic common apps and not found them on GETJAR. There are very few educational games or apps which was my intent. I also tried to load Words with Friends several times and had no luck. I'll probably root them before the weekend is out. I did see the previous reviews and knew about the GETJAR issue before purchasing but since I'm not a gamer and I was just wanting something basic I really didn't think that would be an issue for me.Aside from the apps issue, it seems to be pretty fast, it is responsive and light weight (lighter than my older nook). The screen resolution isn't real great but I watched a few youtube videos and they looked pretty good, actually they looked better than angry birds did.If I can root the items or find a free word processing program and graphing calculator program I'll keep them.
