Almost perfect for me
It ships in rather nice packaging, which surprised me given the low price point. It's very easy and comfortable to hold. I bought it primarily because I suffer from Raynaud's Syndrome, making it very uncomfortable for me to touch cold objects, like metal. So the plastic outer portion of the clippers is great. The one feature I don't like is the fact that the plastic top of the clippers do not attach to the metal top of the clippers. I suppose this is because glue tends to wear away over time, and that would be the likely manner in which the metal hinge would be kept attached. So in order for me to get to the "filing" portion of the clippers (more on that in a second), I have to touch the metal lever and flip that up as well. The plastic cover just rotates without any effort, but the metal handle stays down unless you flip it up and back. The "filing" part of the device is an ellipsoidal surface (it's not a flat oval, it's rounded) that feels like it's covered with hundreds of tiny hooks or something. Very different from what I'm use to with "ordinary" clippers and the filing board that swings out. This surface is essentially sticky if you try to touch itโthus the sense that there's a ton of velcroish hooks there. Obviously, this isn't the case, as it does file fingernails very well, so it's not hooking anything by any means. Just a very odd-sensation for meโmaybe this is what emory boards are like? In any case, in does it's job well. It doesn't cut as close as I'd like, but I'm probably in the vast majority with how short I like my nails. There often feels like "just a bit more" that I could clip off that the clippers can't get. But I think I'm just abnormal in that regard. This should satisfy most any user, I would imagine.

Works well
This worked well when my right arm was in a cast, and I needed a way to cut my nails. Was easy to operate with limited manual dexterity.

Great product
These clippers make life so much easier for someone with arthritis. So happy to have found them. Would buy again.

great for arthritic hands
I was skeptical but not anymore. I can cut my finger nails by myself with no problem. Yay! But I can't use this on my tough, fungusy toenails. Also, one little thing; it's a good thing these nail cutters use is pretty self-explanetory because all the instructions were in Chinese. No English tranlation.

Not easy to use
This was really hard for my autistic son to use. Even for me as his parent. It was hard to see when cutting the nails bc itโs bulky around the top. I returned it.

Easy to manipulate clippers
I ordered these clippers after they were reviewed in an article in the NY Times. My husband has a tremor and cannot clip his nails by himself. We were using another type of clippers and they seemed hard to manipulate. I took a chance on these clippers and am very happy with them. They are so easy to use. The design makes it easy for one to grasp and push down to clip fingernails. I highly recommend these!

Solved my partial handicap problem
Because of MS, I have lost dexterity on my right hand. This clipper allows me to clip my nails effectively. I use it by resting it on a desk and pressing down with the free hand.

Great clippers for elderly
These nail clippers are exceptional for an elderly parent. Easy-to-use and find. Big holding portion and color make these clippers perfect for people with arthritis and mobility issues.

Works
I seldom write reviews but for anyone with severe arthritis in the hands, this is the best non electric product I have found. Thank you

Easy to ise
After surgery on hand was unable to trim nails with the usual clipper. I was able to put nail clipper on table, put nail into clipper and depress the clipper with my forearm. Easy. Sat safely on base and no tipping up. Perfect!

Great for arthritis and motor skill issues
I have arthritis and my son has motor skill issues due to autism. These are SO great. Easy for both of us to use. Note that it is the larger toenail clipper size in here, so I an hoping to find a smaller nail clipper size one for using on my younger kids. But for an adult woman and a tween boy it does the job well.

Perfect for disabled use
I have a partial paralysis of the right side; as I have grown weaker so I have found it impossible to cut the nails on my left hand. Clippers no longer meet my needs, but this is perfect. Its chunky design means I can bring the whole weight of my hand down, rather than just the thumb and index finger. Really happy.
