2012 two CD collection from the Scottish vocalist. Having been selected as the subject of the Big Time, a TV documentary chronicling the struggle of an unknown singer to get a recording contract, Sheena Easton went from being a sugar-coated pop princess to Prince's muse! This multi-faceted hits-plus compilation, includes her eleven US Top 40 hits for EMI, from the debut single 'Modern Girl', US chart topper 'Morning Train (9 to 5)', the James Bond theme 'For Your Eyes Only' for which Sheena became the first artist to feature in the movie brand's opening title sequence, the duet 'We've Got Tonight' with Country music legend Kenny Rogers and productions by Prince, Narada Michael Walden and Chic's Nile Rodgers. A musical journey that continues today. Music Club Deluxe.

very good and thorough
Sheena Easton should have been bigger than she was, but just wasn't for whatever reason. After having "The World of Sheena Easton" cassette tape for 18 years, I decided it was time for an upgrade, and this 2-cd set did the trick. This is a very thorough collection of all of Sheena's charted hits in the U.S. during her EMI years, songs that were hits internationally in places like England, and songs that should have been hits, but just weren't. Sheena was sort of the female Robert Palmer in that she could do any genre of music and do it well. Though you may not be familiar with some of the tracks on here or even most of them, there's a good chance you will end up liking most of the songs on here.

Best collection of Sheena so far
There have been many hits collections of Sheena Easton over the years but this 2 cd set from Music Club Deluxe shines above them all and not only provides the most comprehensive greatest hits collection so far but does it so well that fans will be happy but really confused wondering why a true box set on this amazing artist has never been put together. Sheena ruled the pop and r&b charts throughout the 80s and she became a true diva with an amazing vocal range and the emotive ability to bring each song she tackled to great heights. Her catalogue was primarily on EMI till she made a major change to MCA in 1989 with the album THE LOVER IN ME. Sadly this collection only covers her EMI albums but it does it very well. There are an impressive 31 tracks total and it includes all the hits plus the b sides and many of her best album tracks. From ballads to uptempo pop, r&b and funk Sheena covered it all. To think her musical repertoire spans from her first single MODERN GIRL to TELEFONE, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, WHEN HE SHINES, ALMOST OVER YOU, MACHINERY and YOU COULD HAVE BEEN TO ME to SUGAR WALLS, STRUT, SWEAR and DO YOU. All are here as well as her superb renditions of WIND BENEATH MY WINGS, ICE OUT IN THE RAIN and BACK IN THE CITY.This collection is a must have for all Sheena fans and also a smart purchase of fans of true vocal divas. Sheena Easton had much success but has been very underrated over the years and never fully got her due for her full talent. This collection shows her vocal abilities at their best. Highly recommended.

The Collection: Sheena (Easton)...
Overall, an excellent collection. But, truth be told I had forgotten about the song, "For Your Eyes Only" until I sat through a presentation of the movie on the EPIX Channel(s) (Time-Warner was doing an EPIX promotional at the time - and MOST of the Bond movies were being shown). The result was I purchased BOTH the Movie ("For Your Eyes Only") and Sheena Easton's Collection for the song!Four stars! (Yes, I actually like the CD...)

Great CD!
A Sheena Easton fan from the early 80's. Her music reminds me of when I was single and in the Navy. If you're a Sheena Easton fan you'll love this CD. I recently saw her in concert, yes, she does concerts, and I thought her performance was very good. Of course she's in her mid 50's and doesn't look like she used to, BUT for a woman that age--she looks really good!

Sugar Walls is one of my favorite tunes by Sheena
Sheena is not only beautiful, but a great singer. This is a great collection of all her songs before her "Lover In Me" album. Sugar Walls is included here. Nice packaging and nice sound quality

When Sheena Shines!
This 2-disc set it is a real gem: an expanded update to the "World of / Singles Collection." It includes rarer songs like the slow stunner PARADOX, bouncy JUST ANOTHER BROKEN HEART, BACK IN THE CITY (for which she made a video), HUNGRY EYES ("Dark sunglasses and a cheap disguise!"), and (wait for it) the ICE OUT IN THE RAIN REMIX, a cool dancier version than the original album track. Sound quality is great! As the other reviewer states, no MCA (post "Lover in Me") tracks unfortunately.

Excellent
Whatever happened to Sheena Easton? This is a great CD! Lovely singing along to all her old classics brings back memories, especially 9-5 a song I sang at a Karaoke night back in the eighties. I would recommend to Sheena fans.
