Contaminated Gel coat ! Works well But ?
The last Two gallons of clear gelcoat were contaminated with small white particles and lumps of Gelcoat the size of BBโs. ๐ I suggest you screen the material before use!

"Geloat" Clear Gelcoat NEEDS WAX TO CURE Properly
Professional composites repair facility here... Ignore the previous reviews. This product is fine. You need wax additive or a patch aid (like F.G.D. Duratec) for proper cure. Polyester and Vinylester resins wont fully cure in the presence of Oxygen. If you don't put in a cure additive to the final topcoat that protects it from Oxygen, it will stay tacky.

Seems to be a great product I'm using it as paint with mica powder
Like i said still need to wet sand or buff some shine into it.

Hardener not sufficient.
I followed the instructions carefully. I am a retired civil engineer. But the resin never fully hardened. It remains sticky to the touch after more than a month in the sun. In fact, cloth and paper stick in it near permanently. If you buy it, be sure to use more than the indicated number of drops of hardener per ounce of resin or it will not harden.

Bottom hardens in 45 minutes but slimey layer on top never hardens, not laminating gelcoat!
I bought four jars of resin and am returning the unused three because the one I used would not harden right. The bottom of the first coat was hard in less than 45 minutes but the top was very wet and slimey after 2 days! This is not the tacky feel you get when its time to add another coat. If you add several coats to build up thickness, you have ruined your project because when you sand, you sand into the slime layers which show very badly in the finished result. After days of sanding and polishing, I had to sand every bit of this crap off and gelcoated with product from a different company. That worked great first time!

As described
This was my first time using gelcoat. I used another product without difficulty. I couldn't get mixture right with hardener. Was to fast drying or 48 hours later was still sticky
