What are the dimensions of the board (L,W) and diameter of the roller?

Accepted Answer

The board is about 35.5" x 14.5" and is about 3/4" thick.  The roller is about 29.5" long x 4.5" in diameter.  Of course, if it's really important to you, check with the company directly.  In the past, they've been quick to respond to questions.

Question 2

Is this just as good for snowboard training then other boards on Amazon that actually mention snowboarding in their description?

Accepted Answer

Yes, because every board sport requires balance, and this is what training on the Revolution Swell each day will give you.  Once you start to feel comfortable on this balance training board, that comfort and sense of balance will translate over to the other board sports you participate in, be it snowboarding, surfing, etc.  For snowboarding in particular, I love my Revolution Swell as it offers more versatility and different training styles.  So when you set it for balancing long-ways on the roller, it actually does mimic the heel to toe technique required for snowboarding.

Can you use this for exercise only? I don't skate or surf just want to improve my balance and like different challenges for exercising.

I use mine just for exercise. I don’t surf or anything. It’s good for strengthening your leg muscles and tendons as well as improving your balance. I really love it. However, if you’re interested in exercise and not a board sports, you might want to supplement it with a wobble board with a ball under it that makes you balance in 360 degrees. I use both.

Would this help me become better at surfing?

First of all, let me say I sure hope so. That’s why I have one as well. But I think the real question is how good of a surfer are you in the first place? If you’re kelly slater, you probably won’t notice and improvement. But, if you’re like me and have been land locked for a few years, I can’t see this thing not helping. It will help build the twitch muscles needed for balance, it will remind you of your posture, and it will get you thinking about surfing. Will it teach you how to stall your board to tuck up tight in a narrow barrel? No. Will it help you not fall off of some rental foamer? Absolutely.
