Perfect Solution
I used this product to make a 14” extension cord without the extra feet if I had purchased a normal short cord. I used #16 gauge wire available by the foot at ACE Hardware. I didn’t like the looks of the first wire I connected to one of the blades, then realized the wire with some insulation needs to be grasped by the “hook” on the end of the blade. After that correction, the rest of the connections went smoothly. A great product for customizing lengths of extension cords. Just an FYI, the diameter of the hole for feeding wiring through is 3/8”, a little oversized for #16 gauge wire and #14 is to big to fit. Overall, was very pleased with the product for its intended use.

Good Head replacers.
These are good tight fitting head replacers and brought back to life an old extension cord that was damaged at some point. The heads were a bit of a fight to get back together correctly, the female end particularly was cramped and difficult to re-align. The male end was exceptionally tight fitting while this worked itself out after a few uses it was unexpected. The construction of these heads in the line of cost and durability is however superb and worth the hassle.

For light duty
Difficult to tighten stranded wires using these tiny screws. The strain relieves are those notches you need to route the wires thru towards the center of the plug to get the housing closed.

Well designed and gets the job done
I don't submit many product reviews, but in reading the reviews for this plug end I noticed many references to a lack of pull resistance that made this product unsafe. While I cannot attest to and upgrades, the plug end I received have a notch designed to ensure that the wire dies not get pulled out. See photos for how the wires are installed and set inside the notch.I would not recommend using these in wet out outdoor conditions, however, as there is no water proofing on the plug ends.

Could not get the wires in
I have replaced extension cord heads before with other brand replacement heads and had no trouble. I could not get this brand to grab the wires and hold. The wires kept bunching up and the tiny screw was too short for getting the wires past. Very tight working area. This was a waste of money and time.
