Fantastic fountain for my pet. I formerly owned a Platinum Pet fountain and found it to be a bit of a nuisance to clean. It had far too many nooks and crannies in its plastic parts and I wanted a fountain that was more hygienic and easier to clean. The Pioneer Pet Raindrop is a thoughtfully designed stainless steel vessel with the exception of the pump and the " clam shell" that houses the pump. It is exceptionally quiet, a very faint hum of the motor is present. The motor will in fact remain quiet as long you remember to properly clean out the debris (cat hair, food particles, etc.) on schedule. Your cats/dogs will appreciate the fresh water as well. Assembly was easy with the help of the Youtube video. The pump cord and its housing placement appeared awkward initially but a few moments with YT and all was well. I imagine in the future designers will address that quirk... Here is my tip: water droplets staining on the steel, dip the steel parts in a bowl of plain white vinegar. Soak for a few minutes, rub off stains, rinse. I was very excited by this fountain when I saw it online. I read the reviews and thought that 2 one star reviews out of close to 50 wasn't that bad so I ordered it. BIG MISTAKE! The pump failed within a week of it's arrival. It just stopped working. I would understand if it stopped because the water level ran low and it burned up but I kept it filled. I really liked the fact that it was a large reservoir, considering I have two cats. I thought the stainless steel would be a good idea, helping to keep the water cooler since the one cat is always after cold water. They loved the fountain and drank from it immediately. I liked that it does come apart nicely so that you can clean it. The filter worked well and i did clean it daily since one of cats likes to dip his paw in the water before drinking. Since it's the other cat that is always wanting cold water, I'm not sure if he's testing it or what he's accomplishing by doing so (cats are weird...). Definitely stay away from this one.

The Best Thing about Pioneer Pet Raindrop Drinking Water is My Cats love it and they are drinking more water everyday. The Best Buy for my pets!!!

We bought this to replace a plastic fountain that had started to leak. It's very quiet and easy to clean. Super happy with it.
