Really nice safety gear
I love this set! I got the size L/XL and Iโm about 5ft and 188lbs. These fit me very well on the elbows and the knees. I will say that the wrist guards are a bit big but itโs no biggy. Iโm able to tighten them easily since itโs just a velcro strap. I got these to do park roller skating and theyโre really good quality. Iโve used them to drop in bowls (by sliding in with my palms and knees on the ground). Theyโve helped me make sure I donโt have any injuries on my knees, elbows, and wrists. I highly recommend getting them for safety reasons when skating but also because theyโre so cute!

Killer for the Thriller
My son wanted to learn to skateboard (thanks, Olympics). But he's... let's say a bit wild. We needed pads we knew would really protect him while he threw himself around like a crash test dummy. 187 Killer Pads are the best. They're what you'll see a lot of pros wearing, and this junior set feels just as well made. Even better: The sleeves are solid, so the straps don't irritate any skin that's under the pads. When my little pinball roughs these up, I'm confident that they can handle it.

Best pads you can buy
187 vs triple 8 review. My son (4yrs old) went through 2 pairs of triple 8 knee pads in a few months (stitching not good around sides so padding comes out) so I bought him 187 pads. Wow 187 pads are 100% better quality than triple 8. The 187 knee pads and elbow pads slide on and then have velcro whereas the triple 8 just had velcro so they were always shifting. The 187 pads have more padding and my son needs it for the ramps he is riding. My son wiped out in triple 8 and the knee pad shifted so my son had a huge bruise where his pad should have been...187 stay in place. Triple 8 has better pattern/color options whereas most 187 are kind of girly or cameo dragons. He wears size junior 187 pads and is very tall for a 4 yr old. Triple 8 helmet is really good, pads not so much. Go with 187.

Lots of padding for high impact, sacrifices comfort
Bought these and the 888 set and ended up returning the 187 killer pads. The main reason was a lack of comfort in a neutral position and them feeling like "too much" pad for my skating style. I'm a middle-aged man getting pads so I can go and learn to drop-in on the 4' quarter pipe and learn to grind rails without fear of cutting myself up on every crash. I'm not going to be a transition skater going for big air and crashing down on my knees into the halfpipe. If I was going to be a halfpipe skater, these are the pads I would have kept. They have a ton of padding, but lose some flexibility. They are formed in a bent knee shape, perfect when riding transition, but are note very comfortable when standing up straight or cruising. The slip on style means they are very secure, but not easy to take on/off. Ultimately, they seem like a great first set of pads for a transition or high-impact skater. If you're a low impact street skater like me, you might be happier with a lighter (triple) wEIGHT option.

Totally recommend!
For reference, I'm 5'1. My knee is 13 inches, elbow 8 inches, and Wrist 7 inches. I measured myself exactly like the size chart suggested. I ended up purchasing the small/medium and it fits great! I'm a beginner roller skater and I'm so glad I got these. I already fell really hard and of course I did the one thing your not suppose to: I put out my hands and Wrist to stop my fall. The good thing is that nothing happened to my wrist! If I didn't have the wrist guard on for sure I would have broken it, but thankfully I wasn't injured. Also, if you're a beginner like me, don't be shocked my the massive size of the pads. They look crazy big when you first unbox them but once they are on they'll look a lot better. The knee pads and elbow pads consist of a sleeve and Velcro fasteners so you can adjust the fit. The knee pads also force you to bend your knees. This is good. Your knees should be bent while skating. Hopefully this was helpful. Happy skating everyone!

Durable and easy fit
Product fits great and can take a bump unfortunately they donโt make em for your back so my fall messed my shoulders up! People learn to fall!

Twice wrong item was sent
My bad review is not for the product but for the seller. I ordered the junior 187killerpads in blue and red for my 5yo son and the first time I received another brand in black and size Large for adults. I sent it back and they sent me as a replacement a roller for exercise ๐ This is a scam or what? I never received the product as it is described and I asked for refund. (Waiting the refund these days). The biggest disappointment is that the poor boy was waiting the pads for days and they never send them. Very bad experience. P.S. The 187killerpads as a product are the best. My daughters have some pairs and they love them! Very good quality and great designs!

Good value pads for the money.
The Moxi pads are easy to put on and comfortable to wear. They offer reasonable protection for general skating. I have better pads for roller derby.

All-Ages Skaters Stay Safe
Um - In a sea of skate pads, these stood out for their unique colours (ie: not black). As an older skater, I needed some tough pads to keep my knees, elbows and wrists safe in the skate park. This is a comfortable kit from 187 Killer Pads that does the trick. Although I may get out the scissors and sewing machine to customize over time after I use them regularly - they are a great starting point for any one wanting to keep themselves intact while taking some calculated skate risks.
