This fits well and reassures when needed. Our 2 yo was even comfortable in the ocean of course with adult contact as well. We felt very secure that he was safe in calm waters of Tahiti lagoons.

My daughter is 2.5 and weighs maybe 35lbs, but still has a bit of her baby belly -- this did fit around her and zip, but it felt tight to her and she was unhappy for a while until she got used to it. Our only hope of wearing it again next summer is if she slims way down, otherwise it was sort of one-use for us. Aside from it running small, I liked that it had the strap between the legs and the neoprene material is pretty soft, no rubbing or chafing. It rode up to her cheeks while sitting on the boat, but she doesn't have a very long torso, so that was to be expected. Overall happy, just wish we could get more use out of it since it was advertised for up to 50lbs.

Fits my 5 1/2 year old perfectly. She can swim around in this pretty comfortably. Definitely gives me peace of mind knowing this is an approved life vest rather than just a swim vest. One star knocked because the bottom strap does irritate my daughter’s leg a lot, so we don’t use the bottom strap anymore. Even without the bottom strap, the vest still works fine. My daughter’s camp insists on using the bottom strap so we bought board shorts to use with the vest.

Bought this product for my 3.5 and 5.5 year old girls. I was worried about the fit after reading some reviews that they run small but they fit both kids perfectly. we got the jackets for days on the lake boating and the kids stay in them all day with zero complaints! They are light weight and comfortable, not like the life vests I remember wearing as a child. My 5 year old is a good swimmer and my 3 year old does not swim on her own yet, but is comfortable in the water and both kids do great swimming in these jackets. Highly recommend.

My girl is at the top of the weight for this one. She's tall for her age & is nearly 6. The fit is snug & perfect. The band between the legs isn't comfortable but it really doesn't need to be super tight there. It would get a 5 star if they had a little pad on that steap though.

The Stearns life vest was a perfect fit for our 2-year-old grandson. The quality, ease of putting it on him, and value was a good purchase.

Purchased two of these vests for my sons. Both fit perfectly at 47lbs and 33lbs. Vests were great for boating and tubing, playing in the creek, and swimming in the lake. They had a great range of motion and said they were comfortable even after 4 hours of wearing. Very happy with our purchase
