AWESOME SERIES!
This is the BEST TV Western series we've ever seen! We loved every minute of watching it and it took us back to the no-nonsense way we were brought up in the 1960s. Dan Troop didn't fool around with lawlessness and Johnny was so cute and lightening fast with a gun! They were busy taming the West and teaching kids good values. So happy to have grown up a boomer!

Very good transfers of a really good show
I love the plots, the acting. Mirror of a different, simpler time, the 1960s. Took me back to my youth. John Russell was really great as marshal Dan Troop.

Another Classic Warner Bros. Western.
With all of the craziness going on in the world, I find, more and more, that I enjoy watching dvds of the tv westerns that I loved as a child to help keep my sanity. I loved watching Lawman for the four years it ran Sunday nights on ABC. Similar to Gunsmoke, it involved a hard as nails Marshal, Dan Troop, played by hard as nails John Russell and his young deputy, Johnny McKay played by Peter Brown (who would go into another western, "Laredo" not long after Lawman was cancelled.) Peggie Castle played saloon owner Lily Merrill from season two on. (Sort of a steal from Amanda Blake as Kitty Russell on "Gunsmoke.")Unlike Gunsmoke, Lawman stayed a half-hour throughout its four year run. It was always deadly serious, never got cutesy like Warner Bros. most famous tv western "Maverick." It is my one of my five favorite tv westerns and, as stated, brings back memories of better times. Picture and sound on these Warner Archives releases is fine.

Great episodes.
I enjoyed these shows very much. The picture is excellent and sound very good. I would however wish there was closed captioning.

Where to Find Those Two Episodes
The Town Boys and The Go-between can be as the last two episodes on disc 5 of the season two set. Season 4 has 41 episodes but The Standoff and The Juror had been placed on disc 5 of the season 3 set as the final two episodes. Great Series, solid performances by Russell, Brown, and Castle, great scripts and direction, cinematography, editing, music, THAT'S LAWMAN!

Best 1/2 hour Western ever produced.
Great actors starring John Russell, Peter Brown, and Peggy Castle.

BUY THIS & YOU WON'T BE DISSATISFIED! HIGHLY RECOMMEND as THEY DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THI ANY MORE!!
We need his kind of justice back again!! This is a Law & Order Western series that WILL NOT DISSAPPOINT!! It is in BLACK & WHITE but I must tell you the VERY INTERESTING storyline are so engrossing that you forget you are watching black & white & not color. The color today, anyway, is not true color. It is a WASHED OUT SEPIA & makes the viewer feel like we are looking at a very dismal display on the screen When you look at this VERY SHARP & CLEAR black & white LAWMAN show you will agree with me that it is better to watch this than the WASHED OUT shows we have today!! Buy it if you like to see JUSTICE WIN OUT OVER EVIL & the TALL, UPSTANDING MAN PREVAIL in Victory for ALL!!

THIRD SEASON OF A GREAT TRADITIONAL WESTERN
Terrific western series, and as usual a lovely copy by Warner Brothers. Hope they continue to release shows from their back catalogue like 77 Sunset Strip and the elusive Temple Houston for example.
