Ziggy photoโs as good as Mick Rocks
For those of us who could not afford the Genesis publication of Sukitaโs collected Bowie works this will do nicely. Itโs a good size volume and there are some classic images within. I have an issue with the quality of the print on some of the photographs but to be fair the price of this book cannot be argued with. I also own Sukitaโs limited edition of Marc Bolan and T.Rex โ1972โ which is of much better quality but then I did pay considerably more for that collection. Overall a sound purchase for the Bowie book case.

Fantastic book
Brilliant, if you can tolerate that it's duplicated text.

A wonderful look back at Bowie's Japanese connections
I have been wanting to pick up this publication for a while now so, when it dropped to $20, I simply couldn't resist any longer. Since his passing, there has been an endless stream of books hitting shelves with Bowie as the main focal point. A large number of biographies and memoirs from those who have worked closely with the great man going all the way back to Phil Lancaster's memories of his short time with Bowie in his circle. After a while, these books can become a bit tiresome but every so often, a little treasure appears from the clouds and this is most definitely one of them. This book predominantly covers periods in 1972/73, 1977, 1980, 1983, 1989, 1996 with a few other smidgens thrown in. Whilst not a huge read and, with many photos we have seen before (some endless times) this book does cover some new ground and offers some good insight like the story behind the leather jackets for both the "Heroes" cover shoot and the video that was produced for the same song. If you are a casual Bowie fan, this is a nice book to perhaps lay down on the coffee table for friends and family to peruse and enjoy (it took me around 30 minutes to read all the text) with some iconic and beautiful photos. Hard core Bowie fans who have seen it all before will be a bit hit and miss but at the price can grab it for at the moment, it's one of those little treats that you can justify to place in the Bowie collection.
