1 in when not stretched. Perfect amount for underneath my stretch, self adhesive wrap on my fingers. I use these underneath the wrap to keep from irritation. Works better than the square gauze. Not individually wrapped so it's not sterile. They'll come in one bag which is fine for what I use them for. But if you have a opened wound you should get something individually wrapped not this. I have trigger finger and use this and the adhesive wrap to wrap my fingers straight.

I purchased the cotton gauze because in addition to a basic first aid kit, I also need a wound care kit, in a separate bag. Commercially-sold first aid kits are adequate for small cuts, headaches, splinter removal, and other minor conditions. However, for wounds that might take a few weeks to completely heal and that require a change of dressing daily or more often, such as blistered feet from hiking or work, a wound care kit that includes more wound dressing material may be needed. The one-inch wide gauze works well for wrapping fingers and toes, and can be layered and wrapped better than wider guaze, even for arms and legs.

I have ordered these multiple times. They work good to hold pads in place. And help to get drainage.

Very soft. I need this to wrap a secondary bandage around my knee and hold in place with tube bandages. They absorb exudate pretty well but they do snag a bit. It's softer than most and quite cottony feeling, so are my go to when I can't make it to the only local store that sells something similar.The price isn't really reasonable though for what you get. I can only do two knee wraps with one roll.
