Finally good rod
Itโs little hard to install on closed window as it needs to be twisted. However, once installed correctly, it barely fell down. I canโt say it is perfect but definitely better than others because others all failed in just few hours after installed.

Great tension rod for light to medium-weight curtains
I have three of these tension rods in my apartment because I canโt drill into the walls, and theyโve worked really well for the right type of curtains. The installation is very easy with the twist mechanism, and the rubber ends hold securely. They were perfect for my sheer curtains, and they also handled my lightweight blackout panels just fine. Where they struggled was with my heavier crushed velvet curtains from Target. My windows are long, and the weight was too much for a tension rod of this style. For lighter fabrics, these are great, but heavier curtains will need something that bolts into the frame or a something in the middle to provide additional support. Overall, I highly recommend these if your curtains arenโt too heavy. Theyโre simple, clean-looking and very easy to use.

Not spring loaded. Does not hold tightly or safely by twisting rods to lock it in place.
I purchased this curtain rod to install inside the frame of a 67 inch wide custom window. The overall length of the rod we bought was the right size to fit the window. The two curtains we attached are light and very sheer (not blackout) so weight was not the issue. Before attaching the curtains we tried installing the curtain rod first. The twist and fit way to lock the rod into place was not a strong hold. There is no tension mechanism built into this curtain rod to tightly and securely hold the rod in place. The instructions read as follows... Sizing rod to your window: 1) With finials mounted on the rod, place inside window casing and extend out until the finial pads contact each side of the inside window casing. 2) Grip both the inner and outer rod, then turn the rod in your right hand towards you to tighten. When tightening rod will expand slightly. We found this turn to tighten design to be AN INEFFECTIVE WAY TO CREATE ENOUGH TENSION FOR A STRONG HOLD ON A LARGE WINDOW. Basically you are trying to turn it as tight as you can but this method does not create enough pressure, and, it is not that easy to turn the rod with a lot of strength since the rod is positioned very close to the window as you try to turn it into place. We purchased another brand from the hardware store that has a built-in spring that creates enough tension simply by placing one finial onto one corner of the window casing, then I squeezed the expandable end far enough to push it into the opposite corner of the window casing for a very tight fit as it sprung into place. Maybe the curtain rod I bought from Kenney is safer to use if you are just installing a light weight valance on a not so wide window; it did not work for our needs. I returned the Kenney twist and fit rod through Amazon.

Plenty of length to fit my 6-foot curtain rod, comes with an extender too
I will say this rod is definitely long enough to fit my window, which is 72 inches (6 ft) across. And fortunately I don't need it to support heavy curtains, because it's not super sturdy, but it will do the job for sure. To be fair it's a shower curtain rod but it can double for a window curtain rod as well. I would post a picture but it's going to take me a while to figure out how to disassemble the ancient blind system so I can install the curtains. But this rod could extend well past my window AND it comes with an additional extender, so, if you're concerned with the length of this thing even after reading the specifications, as I was, fear not. In most cases this rod should work for you.

Take your time
Ok. I see so many bad reviews and I donโt get it. No this is not a spring tension rod. That means when you measure your length to twist the rod FO IT AT AN ANGLE so itโs almost too long to fit. Put your curtains on first! Once you twist and lick it then gently push the one side thatโs down up into place level with the other side. Itโs not meant to hold heavy curtains or drapes. This is for sheers imo. Take the time to read the instructions. Take the end caps off to find your extra length! Itโs in there!!!

poor instructions & not ready to install
This spring tension rod is the poorest one I've ever come across. The first thing I noticed was an "extra", unadjustable rod in the package which is only used if you want to extend the rod to its further potential. The first problem I encountered was the inner rod would not release and I had to use pliers which marred its surface. I don't know what I finally did that got it to release - must've turned it in the right direction; this wouldn't be an issue with a typical spring tension rod. The pictures in the instructions don't match the product I received. The instructions are not clear in which side of the rod (inner/outer) is on the left & which is on the right, yet they instruct you to twist the right side to tighten. But the oddest thing is the inner rod doesn't twist out at all - it just pulls out and when you've got it pretty much where you want it, then you twist to tighten - but again, without knowing whether the inner rod is to the left or the right, this can take some experimenting to figure out And once tightened, it doesn't have the secure feeling that a traditional spring tension rod has.. Lastly, the "filials" (end pieces) are plastic, which means they will degrade with exposure to sunlight and won't last near as long as rubber ends, which are typical in the average spring tension rod.

Works great
Not very easy to install, unlike the rods with a spring However once you get it up there it stays up there Holding up my sheet curtains well Love that its white Cant see it, looks great! Got a good price so it was worth it. Has an extra rod to adjust it if you need it longer but I didnโt need it

Perfect for my strangely long window.
The tension rod was perfect for this large continuous window we have in our living room. It is slim enough to fit a normal sized curtain and the tension is enough to hold up our sheet curtains. It is also strong enough to withhold us sliding the curtains open and closed.

I did a lot of research before picking this item and I am not disappointed!

Broke the first time I removed from the window frame to wash the curtains.
I had this in a 72" wide window. It went in perfectly and held tight but the moment I removed it from the window to take the curtains down and wash them the cantilever mechanism inside the rod that allows you to tighten the rod against the frame snapped in half. It's plastic and did not stand up to a plastic glue repair so garbage, I guess. Don't buy these unless you never ever want to wash your sheers.
