These are EXACTLY what they’re described as.
Ok. I’ve read many reviews. Generally, I read the lowest ranking reviews first. This will give me an idea of the primary complaints. If they are too bad, I won’t purchase the item. The worst reviews were primarily about taste, which is completely subjective, the second was about not getting the actual “assorted packs”.I used these today in my long run. I started taking them about 40 minutes into my run. The taste were not terrible, nor great. Nonetheless, they were plenty manageable to eat. The thing to remember us, these aren’t just jelly beans. These are supposed to be an energy source with caffeine. I would advise against putting too many into your mouth at once, while running. This does create a challenge to breathing! LolAs far as performance, I’d say these were pretty effective. Last week during my longer run, I definitely started getting gassed around 90 minutes. Today, I went well past that, and still felt strong at the 2 hour mark. These are obviously not going to be some magic pill that will turn you into a marathon runner. But, I feel that they will give you that little bit extra to keep you going, where you would normally gas.Lastly, I did receive 6 packs of the “assorted” beans, and all packs seem fresh. There is no clumping, or anything to indicate they had been damaged by heat.I normally don’t write extended reviews, but, after reading the lowest reviews, I felt it was necessary to write a thorough review.

Tastes great!
I used these during my first half marathon and they were great. Although they really didn't give me that great energy boost, or maybe they did, I wanted to die halfway through the course die to hills so who knows. I did appreciate that these helped with my dry mouth in between me cussing and getting to water stations. They kept my mind off being angry at myself for signing myself up for yet another crazy thing. They actually tasted really good, just the perfect blend of sour and sweet. I'll definitely get them again.

Perfect for my marathon training
I eat a packet of these during my long run every week, and they are fantastic. The flavor caught me off guard at first (because electrolytes...they have a taste), but I quickly got over it. I'm not eating these as a tasty snack so much as a quick way to get electrolytes, caffeine, and sugar into my system on my long runs. The packs tear open easily & even re-seal if you don't want to eat them all at once (though I always do). I don't even have to stop running in order to down these. Buying again and again. Thanks!

Love the taste
I really love these sports beans. I get low blood sugar especially when working out so I carry these with me and pop a few throughout my workout. Generally I am using them on longer Hikes or Runs and not just at the gym or walk. I actually love the taste.. I took them with me when I was hiking in Hawaii a couple of weeks ago and was handing them out to my family and they really liked them as well. I definitely feel like they keep my sugar levels up so I don't start getting that dizzy, nauseous feeling from low blood sugar. The bags are small so its super easy to carry in a pack or even your pocket (even small jogging short pockets.) All in all I really like these and would definitely recommend.

These worked great, I ran my first marathon a few months ago and I took 3 packets of these sports beans with me...I ate them at mile 8, 15 and 21. They definitely helped me out a lot! And they're not as heavy as other products that are like granola bar type base.

Great Choice for any race!
These tasted great and were easy to pack for the Spartan Race I was doing. I have used goo and gel before and while the flavor might not be bad, the texture is horrible. These have a slight taste of vitamins, but overall just taste like Jelly Bellies. The individual resealable packages are also really helpful for the type of race I was doing. I could run through muddy pits without worrying that my snacks would get ruined.

Electrolyte and caffeine infused SPORT BEANS!?!?!?! Lol. Got some for my girlfriend as a partial birthday present, we both got a big laugh out of them, and they taste great. She brought them on a backpacking trip we took shortly after that. Not sure if they actually enhance performance via electrolytes and caffeine, but they certainly boosted morale on some of those seemingly endless uphill switchbacks. They're pretty expensive for how many you get, but if there's someone in your life who likes athletics AND candy, get them some as a gift.

Sport Beans Give you what you need fast
The jelly belly sport beans taste toot sweet but give you that little extra kick to get you heading up the next hill. I'm not fond of the extreme sweetness but you do what you have to do if you don't want to walk your bike and that means training and having the right energy boost at the right time. The sport beans seem to work as well as the GU Block chews or the Cliff Block Chews. I've added the beans to my arsenal and they are a nice change of pace. I recommend the product.
