The original door latch would not work and the door wouldnt stay shut. On a hunch I ordered this part and replaced it. With the help of a youtube video i got it in. The hardest parts were physically getting the assembled unit back into position inside the door and reattaching the door handle. This is a fairly intensive job and the farthest inside of a door I have ever been but with patience you can do it and not break the window.

2016 Ford Focus SE, works great. Needed slight mod.
Works great on our 2016 Ford Focus SE. watched a few YouTube videos on it. The part doesn’t have the small plastic piece at the bottom (pictured) that has the clip. I installed anyway and tested before putting the door back together. I guess that piece wasn’t necessary. Regardless this part works just fine, and now my keyless entry will open the drivers door along with all the others , and I don’t have to use the key anymore. Oh!! AND I had to grind the metal bit at the bottom a little to allow for the bottom screw to go in properly.

Decent replacement
Decent replacement however had to drill out a small hole that wasn't large enough for a mechanical armature to attach. Once drilled out, installation was straight forward. The cost of this item is lower than getting same part straight from the Ford dealership. Quality in terms of longevity? We shall see in the future.

Fixed door 2012 focus
My door latch broke, ordered this to fix it. 2012 focus. It’s a more difficult job than it needs to be, but that th car manufacturer fault. Working as intended 6 mo later
