Suggestion: Buy Two
I agree with those that say this headlamp is bright, lightweight (very) and rave about the hands-free on/off feature. The COB mode provides wide, even light which is good for around a campsite, working under the hood of your car, shoveling snow, etc. The white LED mode throws a nice beam a good distance and is good for hiking, cross-country skiing or bicycling. The red strobe is excellent for wearing on the back of your head. (You read that right.) This leads me to a serious suggestion: For bicycling BUY TWO. Put them both on the same headband, position the second one on the back of your head and use the red strobe. See and be seen.

Beyond Exceeds Expectations
I am shocked (especially for the price) how bright, light, well built, and easy to use this is. I feel bad for people that go to Home Depot or a sporting goods store and buy something off the shelf. This is far brighter and has more features. The wide angle light is great, the hands-free on/off is so helpful. Lightweight on your head and comfortable. It is still new so I can't yet comment on battery life/charging or how well the elastic band will hold up - I will update my review if there are any issues but I do not predict any. Anyone in my family who is into home repair will be getting one of these for Christmas next year.

Correct duration time of battery runtime listed.
Five stars because: Price, Light output, runtime. This light is worth the price, the runtime I get is about 3 hours on either cob or center led alone so description is correct. I like the memory feature that keeps the selection you are on when you turn on and off. If you need a headlamp to run 8 hours or more without dimming buy Fenix, Milwaukee or any of these top tier brands (often using an 18650 cell).UPDATE AUGUST 8, 2019: Still working fine, a few drops and many months of use, again worth the price and hands free mode is useful .

Great Headlamp! Gen 2 is Super Improvement!! No More AAA Batteries!!!
A while back I was reviewing my favorite little keychain flashlight, the Rovyvon, and I'd wished that they made a rechargeable headlight. So I got to searching for ones that recharged with a micro-USB cable. I bought one of the first-generation GOFORWILD's and liked it except for the power button, so I was thrilled when I bought one of THESE 2nd-gen's and found that they'd FIXED my dislike!!! (Old version didn't remember the last "on" setting, and didn't turn directly off, so you'd have to cycle through multiple button presses.) This one remembers what setting you were using last, so one button press goes straight to it, and if you wait a couple of seconds before pressing the button again, it turns completely off. Also, this 2nd-gen includes the wide-field LED cluster which is more useful in some circumstances. There's only one nit-pick I have with this model. The cover for the charging port could be a little more robust. I added a pic of Gen. 1 vs. Gen. 2. I had roughed up the lens cover on my Gen. 1 to make it a little less tight beam, but that's moot for Gen. 2 with the wide field setting.PROS:-Bright!-Rechargeable with ubiquitous micro-USB-Smart Buttons-Motion Detection Mode, great for camping-Lightweight-Tiny "lip" at bottom of light housing shields eyes from glare (oops, nope, the lip was on Gen. 1, but the clear panel of Gen. 2 is recessed just enough to prevent glare)CON:-Charging port cover could be more robust, but it's not enough to drop this review to 4 stars!

Great Running Headlight
I went back and forth on this and the Foxelli. I ended up with this and am very happy. I don't know how many Lumens it is, but it makes my iphone light look like a candle. I got the one with the COB; it does add some light to the peripheral and there's enough light to run in the dark. I also was worried that it would bounce a lot when I was running or fall off - it stays put and doesn't have a lot of bounce. Pretty lightweight. Don't know about battery life yet, but it lasted 1.5 hours on my run.

BLINDINGLY BRIGHT - but that's a good thing
This headlamp is BRIGHT! I need a headlamp that can shine on a focused area and illuminate an area 30 feet out. The red lamp is nice if you need to maintain low light conditions. Recharging is easy and fast the USB charging cable. Thank you for not having a proprietary plug. I have another brand that is good, but I could bought three of these and be truly satisfied.

Updated Negative Review
Original Review: I charged this thing up and said, wow what a terrific headlamp. Bright light with spot, flood, red and strobe features. best of all you can turn it on and off just by waving your hand in front of it. DESPITE ALL THOSE GOOD THINGS, if this headlamp were within the return window, I would send it back. The battery is simply terrible. The length of time during which my headlamp stays bright is measured in minutes rather than hours. It goes dim gradually like old-fashioned flashlights without any electronics, so you get some warning that it's time to turn on a dependable head lamp. Perhaps this is just a case of you get what you pay for. I have much older headlamps from both Princeton Tec and Black Diamond that work far better.UPDATE: After I posted the review above, I got a surprise package in the mail: a new headlamp with a note saying this was a warranty replacement. So kudos to GOFORWILD for paying attention to the concerns of their customers. Since my original concerns were battery related, I decided to do a battery test on the replacement headlamp. I charged it fully, switched on flood mode (which is the one I use most of the time), and measured the light output with a light meter (about 2500 Lux at a distance of one foot from the meter). I left the headlamp on, measuring periodically. Somewhere between 2.5 and 3 hours of run time, the light had diminished to less than half the initial brightness. This was also the level that subjectively seemed inadequate for most use. So I would describe 2.5 to 3 hours as the useful run time. That's not terrific, but it's pretty good at this price point. And the fact that you can turn it on and off with a wave of the hand, means that you will likely let it burn only when actually needed. The headlamp would be better if it had brightness settings and if it had the electronics to maintain a constant light level rather than dimming gradually, but I consider it a good buy.

Would recommend this Lamp highly
The best Headlamp I have purchased and I have purchased 3 other brands on Amazon that rate highly. This one outshines them and it feels more robust
