PUMA Women's Soleil Suede Sneaker

The first time I bought these shoes, they were perfect. I live in the west coast (no snow), then I took them to Chicago where it snowed and they used salt on the roads. The salt degraded the color (and it's not just salt powder - I cleaned them well afterwards). So then I bought another pair. The second pair was squeeky :(. So now I have nice black pumas that squeek with every step.If you don't wear these shoes in salt-laden areas and you don't mind possibly getting a squeeky pair, these shoes are perfect. They are sleek, black and comfortable (after a few wears). The shoe laces are short and not stretchy, which I like (they don't hang over the sides and they don't untie easily). They fit as expected, but if I have to choose, they err on the larger side rather than smaller side. They are not at all tight in the toe area. I also should note that when I first got them, the heel felt weird to me (something about the elevation or heel location vs. back-of-the-shoe height), but then I got used to it and love it.If it wasn't for the squeeky pair I received, I would have given them 5 stars!

What I noticed first was that the color is darker than in the pictures... Anyway it looks very nice!The other thing what called my attention at a first glance was the laces... Their texture is a bit strange, I don't know which material are their made of but it seems to be something synthetic... Also these laces are not as long as my other shoe laces... Anyway none of this things is a problem, they keep tied without any problems!Another thing that called my attention was that the sole is very thin but at least up to now that's not seem to be a problem!I always wear 8 or 8,5 so I ordered a 8,5 and the fit was perfect!After using them for a couple of weeks I can tell that:-They were a bit noisy at first but then the noise disappear (it was a bit annoying)-They are very comfortable but I don't recommend them for daily use or if you have to do long walks... One day I walked almost 4 kilometers and I got a blister on my foot (above my little toe) because of the friction with the shoe...-They are a bit narrow but it's ok!In summary I think that these are a great pair of fashion sneakers to wear them occasionally!

I picked up a pair of these shoes in the white color with the yellow stripe. My youngest daughter borrowed them and liked them so much we bought her a pair in solid white. Then I saw these on sale and bought them in black. The interesting thing is that this pair runs a bit smaller than the other two. I am generally a size 9 to 9 1/2 and have very skinny long feet, the first two pairs fit great with a tiny bit of room at the end of the shoe bed. (Size 9 1/2). This pair (black suede) are shorter in the shoe bed. My toes just touch the end of the shoe when I am standing up. I haven't decided if I am going to keep them or exchange them for a size 10 yet. I will probably spend some time walking around the house to see if they bother or stretch out.All in all they are a very nice, light weight shoe for those with narrow feet. But the black suede does run about a 1/2 size small!

So often you have to break them in, or they rub the wrong places - so they aren't good for wearing except for like, when you are sitting down, or the style limits the occasion you can wear them for. This shoe cleared all but the last hurdle.On day one, I laced these up and easily walked five miles - no rubbing, no blisters and GREAT support. Hurdles one and two clear.And look at them - nice and neutral... and stylish... they go with just about everything and can be worn in so many situations. The only reason that they don't clear the last hurdle, really, is because I would probably not ever wear these shoes with a suit or to a wedding.I am a girl, so it is in my genetic make up to love shoes. But these shoes... these shoes I truly adore!

I purchased these shoes because I really liked the styling. I wanted something flat, sporty, without the bulky look of traditional sneakers. When these shoes arrived they exceed all of my expectations. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. The arch support is fantastic and the sole is almost slipper like. They are light weight, yet feel like supportive pillows. I am really surprised. Some reviews stated they were small, others large in sizing. I found them to be on the larger side. I typically am an 8, 7.5 only for dress shoes. I took a chance and orderd the 7.5 (guessing they would be big) and they fit perfectly. They are cut wide in the front and narrow towards the heel. This is a tricky cut to find, but just what I was looking for. They look great with jeans or shorts. I ordered the shadow color, but just placed an order today for the boffee brown version. I wish they offered a lt brown, but I will keep an eye out. Also, they don't have to be broken in, they aren't stiff, a great plus!

Ordering shoes online can be scary - but the second I tried these on I knew I'd made a great purchase. They fit like a glove (or a foot-glove at any rate). The stripes on the side are a little shinier than I thought they might be - but I think they'll grow on me. The sole is also a bit unusual - I feel like I'm lifted up off the ground. But these things aren't deal-breakers, they're more just interesting commentary as a result of shoe-shopping online. I love them though and the only thing I'd change is lose the laces. It's be great if they were more of a slip-on, as I tend to just tuck the laces away and not tie them. I'd dDefinitely recommend - the charcoal colour goes well with jeans, and even dressier pants or shorts.

Puma is one of my favorite brands to buy fashion sneakers. This particular sneaker is very comfortable and stylish. The only set back is that they run very big. I wear a size 71/2 in sneakers, but I bought the Cat style Puma and they were too small, then I bought the 8 and they were too small and finally I bought the 81/2 and they fit. With the Soleil I bought an 81/2 to be on the safe side and they were too big. I didn't return them because I liked them soo much, I just wear really thick socks w/them.
