Can you use these for spinning?

Not that good for spinning, because the silk cocoon were cut, the silk is very broken. If you lightly cook them in water with a little baking soda or dish soap, you can pull them apart. After drying, you can get a big cotton ball of broken silk. You can make it into yarn, but it depend on how good and how patient you are at spinning. Good luck.
