Love it so far!
I just received my dryer yesterday, but already tested it out. I love the auto dry feature. Dried my clothes to perfection with no wrinkling! It is a very nice looking appliance as well. Will eventually order the washer to match.

Became Non-functional After Two Weeks.
I have exclusively used Whirlpool washers and dryers for the past 30 years. CONSUMER REPORTS always rated the brand highly, and the prices were very good. . Like everything, there is an exception. This model is terrible. Within two weeks after purchase, the switch went out and the unit became non-functional. . Getting it repaired was another problem. It took two weeks to get a factory authorized technician. Ordering the replacement part required an additional month. When it arrived, another three weeks wait was required for the repair man to come. . If something else went bad or repairs did not work, I had to wait 31 days before reporting the incident. Apparently, Whirlpool would not pay for repairs until a month has lapsed. . . ====================================================================================================== . . UPDATE: Three months after the above repairs, the replacement part went bad. . . ====================================================================================================== . . UPDATE 2: One month after installing the second replacement part, it went bad.

Accudry? No. Always damp? Yes.
Note: my dryer is about 6 months old and one model up from this one. It is a good basic dryer. No stupid digital controls that break in a year. That is a huge plus. It drys OK on manual settings but the 'accudry' is a misnomer. Always damp is a better name. Timer and heat settings don't matter for the always damp feature. Be prepared to run a load at least twice or figure out by trial and error which manual settings work for you. Otherwise it has a good capacity and appears to be well built. I would give it another star except for the useless extra 'feature'. If it keeps working for ten years (the one that it replaced was over 20) I would add another.

WED4815EW4 Whirlpool Dryer
After two years of only using the medium heat setting, cleaning the lint filter after every load and not over filling…it stopping working after two years! We used it every three days and did about 3-4 loads a day. I’ve never had a dryer (especially Whirlpool) only last 2 years! The timer stopped moving and the heating element stopped working too. It will run for hours with no heat, even though the heat setting is turned on. It won’t stop running until we turn it off and that’s even after running for hours, the timer is it the same setting position that we started it in hours before. Do NOT buy this dryer. You’ll end up replacing it in 2 years or less! We thought buying a good basic washer/dryer would be the best option, but clearly not.

We have always had Whirlpool Appliances and just assumed this one would be as wonderful and reliable as those we've had in the past
Stay away from this dryer. We have always had Whirlpool Appliances and just assumed this one would be as wonderful and reliable as those we've had in the past. We were very wrong. The dryer was delivered to our home on April 20, 2018. It never worked right and took a very long time to dry any size load. Towels took over 3 hours. Small loads took at least 2 hours. We tried all the different settings and there wasn't any improvement with a different setting. Before the dryer turned 3 months old, the drum stopped rotating. Whirlpool sent out an appliance repair company twice now to repair the dryer. The drum now rotates, but the clothes are still taking forever to dry. Whirlpool is sending out another company to check. I suspect it's the heating element. Regardless, we have had to take leave twice for the first two repairs and will have to take leave again--maybe multiple times if they have to order another part. In the meantime we are drudging all our laundry back and forth to the laundromat. Take it from me...stay away from this product. It's garbage.
