Beware! This is not the extension tube filter adapter shown in the photograph; just the ring adapter.
What is shown in the picture is NOT what you get. This photo makes it look like you get the 3-inch long extension tube lens adapter like they used to sell for the old G3 camera. But all you really get is the 1/8-inch long filter ring adapter that lets you attach a 58mm filter to the end of the camera lens. See picture of what I received. The ring adapter is made of metal and relies on friction to stay on. So, it is a very, very tight fit on to the plastic Canon lens body (worried that I was going to break the lens body). I already own the Canon filter ring adapter, which is made of plastic and is very easy to put on an take off and has a spring action to lock it in place. Even though the Canon adapter ring is plastic and costs 4x as much as this one does, it works much better and won't damage the lens body if bumped. I should return this metal ring adapter but figure it isn't worth the hassle.
