Civil War: House of M Paperback – January 1, 2016

I recently read the house of M storyline and it was great. When I heard there was a prequel I was interested in seeing how all this happened despite it being an alternate universe and timeline with no X-men. I am loving every moment of this book. It is a great what if story on the rise of Magneto and the house of M. A must read for X-men and magneto fans. Old and New.

Love the tie-in to House of M. Great companion piece to House of M collection. Artwork is amazing!

This prequel to House of M can be read before or after the main limited series, it makes sense at any point in the series. House of M is an alternate universe that will have major, lasting consequences in the main Marvel Universe. This is the history of that universe.I love how the characters are brought to life and how they each face their own challenges in their own unique ways. This is the best X-men story line that I've read since Age of Apocalypse.

I read this mainly on the strength of Christos Gage's other writing. I had never felt like there was a gap in the House of M story, but still I found this a very engrossing read. Great character building for Magneto that still carries over into the main Marvel universe.

This book came out after House of M itself but I did decide to read it before hand. I really enjoyed it overall and especially enjoyed the action scenes and the consistently above average art. Story will explain how Magneto gains the power he has in the main story-line. It also fleshes out the roles of Quicksilver and Polaris as well as Charles Xavier and Winter Soldier who makes my favorite cameo. Story is fun and engaging from beginning to end. This is what a mini series should look like and for fans of Magneto it is a must have.

Liked the whole House of M world thing

it was okay by itself but as a piece to the civil war saga. I won't say that its necessary to fully understand the plot for civil war.

Como un genial complemento del cómo surgió Magneto a ser como es (pero desde el punto de vista del Mundo M) siento que es corta la historia pero les diré que no se arrepentirán.

House of M: Civil WarIch muss zu beginn gleich sagen,ich hab auch gleich gedacht,dass es eine House of M Version des großen Cross Overs Civil War sein könnte,konnte mir aber nicht vorstellen,wie das denn aussehen würde oder ob man das denn überhaupt einigermaßen gut umsetzen könnte.Mein Fehler.Darüber muss man sich auch weiterhin keine Gedanken machen,denn mit dem Mega Krieg zwischen den Superhelden hat damit nichts zu tun,hier geht es um einen tatsächlichen Civil War,also Bürgerkrieg,der im House of M Universum stattgefunden hat.Oder besser zusammen gefasst: Wer House of M gelesen hat,weiß,dass die Scarlet Witch das Universum verändert hat und jedem eine neue Identität sammt neuer Lebensgeschichte gegeben hat.Und in diesem Comic geht es um die,von der Scarlet Witch erschaffenen,Geschichte von Magneto.Es wird gezeigt,wie er noch als Kleinkind in Auschwitz saß und sich da auf einem Leichenberg verstecken musste,wie er später von Menschen und Nachbarn misshandelt wurde,weil er ein Muntant ist,wie er Mutanten aus Mutanten-Konzentrationslagern befreit und wie er schließlich zum Rebellenführer der Mutanten wurde und so langsam die Welt für die Mutanten übernahm.Einige Gastauftritte,wie zB die Monarchen der anderen nicht Menschlichen Rassen wie Black Bolt oder Namor sind dabei,wie auch eine Gegenseite wie Bucky Barnes (der neue Cap) und viele Sentinels.Und selbstverständlich wird hier gezeigt,wieso Charles Xavier ein guter Freund von Magnus wurde und in diesem Universum tot ist, sowie "sein Leben für Genosha" gegeben hat.Ich hab Magneto schon immer gemocht,ihn nicht als den typischen Bösewicht gesehen und in diesem Comic kommt er nochmal so sympatisch daher.Hier ist er der gefeierte Freiheitskämpfer,der er schon immer sein wollte.Es ist wirklich nicht leicht,ihn als bösen Jungen zu sehen.Wer mal lesen möchte,wie Erik Lehnsherr der Führer der Mutanten im House of M Universum wurde,dem kann ich den Comic nur empfehlen.Kaufen!
