Yep. I've been using this as a base for 3 years. I use gel type polish and use the nail aid extra shine as a top coat. My nails are stronger than ever and look great. Highly recommend.

I don't believe I've heard it referred to as this, but I think it works great. Unfortunately, I used to get it at Walmart for around $4.00-$5.00, now I see it's nowhere to be found at Walmart (at least where I live), and it's $12.00-$14.00 on line. I don't get why it's so expensive for a small bottle, and I have gone to something else a little more reasonably priced.

is this removed easily or does it require special polish remover or technique?

Can be removed with regular polish remover. I remove and refresh twice a week. My nail are growing faster and getting stronger.
