Great for Dandruff!
I was looking for a shampoo that contained jojoba oil and ran across this shampoo bar and decided to give it a try a few years ago and I'm really glad I did. It's had a lot of great benefits. The reason I was interested in a jojoba shampoo was I read that jojoba oil is good at dissolving sebum which helps keep hair follicles clean. I was a little hesitant about using this shampoo bar because I've always had issues with dandruff but it didn't take long to realize that I had no dandruff using this shampoo. It's nice to be able to use a safe, all natural, mild shampoo that gets rid of dandruff. One bar is equivalent to about a 24oz of liquid shampoo which makes this a more economical choice as well. Other places on amazon the bars go for about $7 while I got them for around $5.50 from this seller at the time of my last order which is a great deal. I also save money by not having to use conditioner anymore either!Jojoba also seems to be an anti-fungal which may also help with dandruff since it is caused by a yeast. Not sure about that since other reviews I read for different formulations of JR Liggett's shampoo bar also claimed relief from dandruff. I haven't tried them myself yet.It lathers well and is easy to use. It leaves my hair feeling clean and manageable. It rinses out well but I occasionally use a diluted apple cider vinegar rinse because I have hard water. The peppermint gives a nice, refreshing, tingly feeling which I enjoy. It gives me a similar experience to a more expensive boutique product I had used in the past and enjoyed. Even though the peppermint fragrance seems strong when shampooing, it dissipates quickly and can hardly be noticed once dry.Whenever I run out and temporarily use other products until I remember to reorder I always notice more hair shedding too. I try and order multiple bars at a time because I can forget to order when I run out. Before my last order arrived I tried using peppermint castile soap liquid thinking it would be similar but it wasn't. The castile soap didn't lather well at all and left my hair feeling stiff and unmanageable. To get the most uses out of the soap it's important to let the soap dry. The soap is opaque but the bottom starts to get clear and dissolves when wet so a good soap dish is important. I also find that propping the soap up on one of it's edges in the soap dish helps keep more surface area of the soap exposed to air which helps it last longer.I read about "no-poo" but couldn't bring myself to give up shampoo entirely. This shampoo bar seems to be a good alternative as the ingredients are all natural and biodegradable and leaves my hair looking and feeling great at an attractive price. It took about a week to get used to it but I'm really glad I tried it.

Interesting alternative to liquid shampoo
Lathers easily and long lasting as a bar (keep on a soap dish with drainage). Pleasant very light scent. Still getting used to using a bar (probably should use a apple cider rinse afterward for a smoother feel to the cleansed hair plus I'm sure I have hard water in my faucets). Have skipped using conditioner and my hair seems okay so far as well as my scalp.UPDATE 10/23/2014: Yipe, to get a smoother feel and avoid the slight tacky-feel post-soap use an apple cider rinse (adding 1 tablespoon to water is sufficient for the rinse water -- I keep a small plastic pitcher in the shower for this purpose).

This stuff is Awesome
This is my favorite shampoo by far. Everytime I buy a three pack, I give at least 1 bar to someone at works who in turn raves about this shampoo like me.It leaves your clean, it lathers up your hair with little effort.Only big warning is don't let it get in your eye's as it burns like hello..I highly recommend this item to anyone who has thick wiry hair like mine.

So far, so good!
After much research, I decided to try the natural shampoo route with my crazy, poufy, curly hair. I read all about the "transition period" where the hair gets super oily and gross at the scalp from all the old, chemical shampoo being purged away, and that part was definitely not fun! Now that is over, I can see a difference in my hair for the better! It is not a miracle cure, my hair is still frizzy and a pain but at least I feel better about what I am putting in it. Just make sure to rinse very thoroughly!

better than bottles
I've been using one form or another of this shampoo for several years. The bars are just easier to deal with than bottles. It is also easier to take when you travel. No liquids here. The shampoo lathers quickly and does a good job cleaning my hair. I like the results afterwards. Unlike a lot of shampoos it doesn't build up. I like the peppermint the best and have stuck with it however the others seem to work fine as well.
