Cuisinart DCC-1200P1 Brew Central 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker Coffee Maker, Carafe, Brushed Chrome

Item when arrived did not work

The machine makes coffee ok but there are a couple of disadvantages that a buyer should be aware of that make it a bit of a nuisance. First, the carafe has a fixed top and does not flip up for adding water, (or milk etc..) It has to be removed completely and to snap it back into place is also not simple which is a real pain for us. The other negative is that after the coffee is made one has to clean the underside of the hot water inlet because it gets covered by coffee grounds and also one has to remove the charcoal filter after each brewing cycle because it gets grounds on it too. This seems to happen even when we lower the amount of coffee in the filter basket. We are going to try to find a carafe that fits and has a flip top.

Bought this to replace our 10 year old Cuisinart coffee maker which was still working but getting old and slow. This is a great little machine, easy to use and fast (under 10 minutes to brew 12 cups). This is our third Cuisinart and we wouldn't use any other brand!

Relativement bon marche, fonctionne bien. L ajout d une fenetre pour facilite le controle du niveau d eau serasit un atout. Sinon ca fait du bon cafe. Petit bemole aucune instruction en francais, du moins dans mon colis.

This is about my third Cuisinart coffee pot in this style. I love the look and for sure it holds up to years of daily use. It brews a great cup of coffee and well worth the cost. I would highly recommend. Interesting side note I see this coffee pot in the kitchens of many over the years on TV
