Impressed!!!
I bought this to replace a broken stereo in my boat and this fit right into my 3" RPM gauge that was no longer working. Hookup and install was simple and straightforward. When I turned it on I was VERY surprised at the sound coming out of this unit...way more than I will ever need or use (FYI, I only have two speakers). I just like a little background country music playing when I'm slaying the snook and redfish. The XBass option really adds a lot of depth to the sound as well. The Bluetooth connected immediately (no passwords needed, etc, just instant connect) and works flawlessly. I liked the gray color better than other black units because it matches my dash and gauges better. I also like the fact that this radio is perfectly located now where I can see it to change stations, etc (my old one was under my steering wheel and I had to bend over to do anything). My only complaint is the the radio station presets/memory are nearly impossible to figure out...took me about 45 minutes to save 3 stations and I'm still not sure how I did it. Oh well, I got it for the bluetooth anyway. After install, my son looked at it and said, wow, that looks nice, just wait till the saltwater hits it. He's right, the true test will be how it holds up after saltwater exposure. Overall, very happy with looks, sound, and install.

Fantastic sound and simple installation!
Have had the unit in the boat for 2 weeks now, so far no moisture or fogging up the lens, but our Weldcraft boat is well-protected from the elements.Install was simple! 3" holesaw, a little smoothing of the aluminum cutout, slid right in and threw bracket and 2 nuts on, it was done! Wiring is standard car audio-style stuff, nothing surprising here.Audio quality, this one shocked me! Wasn't really expecting a ton out of this small unit, but when paired with good speakers (Running Polk DB652 UltraMarine 6½ coaxials with a custom floor panel and using front under-bow area as a reflex area), this stereo is incredibly loud and CLEAN! I'm quite anal about my car audio, having been an installer for decades and a bit of an audiophile, so when I heard this setup after tweaking the eq settings, I really was shocked at how clean it really sounds! No, you won't win a sound-off contest, even in the stock non-amp class, but you'll be very happy with this head unit and a QUALITY pair of speakers that's baffled well! And, as a bonus, its nice to have the weather band available if you're out on the water and want to know where that storm on the horizon is heading, especially if there's no cell service and you're still able to receive the fm signal from NWS.Forgot to mention that there is one annoyance, at least for me, that's with the usb playback. This unit DOES playback 128gb thumb drives, or, at least, my Sandisk 128gb usb 3.0 thumb drive, but it does NOT have a folder skip function. With approx. 2800 files on the drive, trying to find a folder is near impossible unless you have the patience to hold the forward/backward buttons down for several minutes! There's also a bug in the software where it will stutter then shut down if you turn shuffle on, move to a folder where the file number is greater than 600 or so, then try to turn it back off. You either have to skip to a file under that number or pull the drive out, which will reset it to file #1 on the drive.

Very nice little radio
This review is for the Planet Audio PGR35B round radioI bought this radio to install in a small camper. The installation was straight-forward, the radio works perfectly and sounds great.Pros:- Compact, can fit pretty much anywhere;- Has adjustable midrange EQ, most radios in this class do not;- Reasonably intuitive control set, doesn't take hours with the instructions to figure out;- Good power output out-of-the-box, amp not required unless you like it LOUD or have a lot of square footage to coverCons:- Gets hot. HOT;;- Direct-wire only. does not come with a plug harness. Makes removal for service, if necessary, extremely difficult;- No brightness control for the display.Overall, with price/value taken into consideration, I give this radio 4 stars and would recommend it to anyone regardless of budget.
