I have mixed feelings about this harness. It's excellent quality, with a secure fit (better than other vest harnesses) but the long straps to the D-rings, and the placement of the velcro can be problematic. I prefer the leash attaching close to the harness - otherwise, the way this is, it flops around left and right and doesn't provide good control. I ended up cutting the straps shorter but that's a little troublesome as you then need to sew the d-rings back, use strong glue to prevent it coming apart under stress, and it may spoil the look.Also, if you don't stick the velcro fully (which you might not, as this is what makes this harness more adjustable compared to the fixed vest harnesses) it will get caught on the straps, then pull at the threads which will fray. I had to cover the straps with fleece to fix that problem.

The size guidelines given are accurate: I have a normal sized corgi which most people consider a smallish-to-mid-size dog, but I ordered extra large size based on her chest circumference, and the harness fits perfectly. The hook-and-loop closure is strong and stays snug. The harness looks good, except for the odd straps on top that stick up like antennae when the leash is not attached. The harness holds my dog snugly, so that when she's lunging at squirrels there is no sense it will leg go, and it does not choke her at all. She has discovered that if she pulls backward from me while walking she can slip totally out of the harness, so I have to be careful to not let her do that, but generally she's walking right next to me anyway. Overall I like the harness and would recommend it. It fits better than another vest I had before.

Yes, the straps do stick to the velcro and that is very annoying. However, it is a good strong velcro grip that doesn't seem it will loose it's grip easily. I would not pay the $30 for it but on sale for $10 I am happy. My favorite part (besides the cute skulls) is the long straps - they make putting on coats w/harness holes so much easier. It would be nice if they would fix the design flaw though, because the straps quickly get marked up. I have 3 now. The Large fits a long haired 19lb terrier dog with a 19-20" chest. The medium fits my 17" chest short hair chihuahua mix (11-12lbs) but if I put coat under it then the velcro isn't completely covered which for this vest, is really preferred. My 17" chest dog could also wear the large but I would be latching it with a good sized tab. Hope that helps. I would buy my dog (chi mix) size L next time if I order another.

These were about the best harnesses we saw. They're very easy to put on and stay very secure. If need be, you can leave it on for days and it doesn't even phase the dog. The long attachment for the harness is great. It was much easier to secure the leash when the ring wasn't so close to the dog's body and it's great that the Velcro closure is on his back instead of on his belly, where he'd be wiggling around as you were trying to attach it.

Good harness at price I paid, $12.62. This is my second purchase of this style Luca harness. The leash straps tend to get stuck on the hard velcro side of harness which quickly frays it. Beyond that, if you have a hyper dog with lots of energy these will fall apart within 6 months. But at this price I'm ok with that. I will not pay $29.99 for this harness again, ever.

This harness is very good and dog seems to like it. My only issue is with the velcro which is sewed to the harness itself. The issue is the velcro starts to peel back. The velcro patches could be sewed better but otherwise a very high quality product.

Very nice harness for our Bichons. Not something you will want to use in hot weather (we use a different style for warm weather) but perfect for cooler temperatures.

Works and fits well. But I don't expect this harness to last more than 3 months. I have an energetic dog and this harness is showing fraying and significant wear after only a couple weeks of use.
