Excellent alternative to Control Vinyl.
Like everyone else, the first thing that caught my attention was the weight and sturdiness of this unit. Coming from light, plastic, DDJ gear, it felt really good to have something that felt hefty like this. But not too heavy to be portable. And not so light that it slides around your table. The legs underneath are super convenient for clean simple set ups and keeping your wires tucked. The platters feel great. I do recommend replacing the slip mats that come with it. They are not the best, and kind of loud when holding the acrylic vinyl sim... The lack of hardware fx is a bummer, but the fx paddles are very nice and intuitive. The lighting on the unit is very pleasing to my eyes. Nice long tempo faders, I will admit are a bit more touchy than I expected them to be but still very nice and efficient. The soundcard is everything you would want from this price range. Clean, punchy sound. Coming from Pioneer products, one thing I am having to adjust to is not having beatgrid editing controls on the controller itself. At least I haven't found them if they do exist. And I'm not too good at remapping certain functions as of now. Overall, the functionality, the sound, the workflow, all of it gets an A+ from me. The few oversights, like the missing hardware based fx, low quality slip mat, and beatgrid functions not being accessible from the board are why I only give it 4 stars. Literally everything else is perfect. Professional outputs. 2 mic inputs, double laptop connection, on board power source. This is a great purchase for mobile DJs, streaming DJs, or just DJs. If you can afford it, and you know how to use dj gear. Absolutely buy it.

Best 2 channel Serato DJ controller
If motorized platters don't interest you, this won't be the product for you. The device makes a bit of noise when powered on, and a bit more when the motors are going. Once you start to jam you won't hear it, and if you're playing out the crowd will never notice, but it exists. I'd compare it to the sound of a normal turntable with a record on and needle in the cut, so it's pretty fair and even comes in below par if you make that comparison, but as far as controllers go, this is the only one that has it's own noise. This is the only drawback I can come up with, as otherwise for me the device is perfect. Some might find the channels limiting, but you can also hook up auxiliary devices like drum machines or synths to the main channel inputs and easily switch between them and the built-in decks with a switch on each channel. The EQs and filters work fine like this but the FX are software-only so you'll want a Zoom pedal or something like that if you want to effect your input signal. Again, the only drawbacks the device has really is just par for equipment in it's class, it doesn't under deliver in any regard but seriously outperforms the competition in some key and novel aspects. If you like to scratch, are interested in giving it a try, or even just like the feel of the "work," this is the controller to buy.

Amazing, like turntables without the schlep
Highly recommend. I traditionally use technics with a 10" mixer in battle mode (Thudrumble or more recently the Pioneer S9), or for the fancy gigs with smaller footprint, a DDJ-SX I've used since 2012. I had multiple weekly gigs as pandemic slowed down in early 2022, and picked up the Rane One as soon as I could, even modifying my flight case to fit the new piece. The equipment switch was seamless, quitting the DDJ cold turkey and picking up immediately with the Rane One. It is instinctively easy to control, with all of the parts being similar to the DDJ and/or battle mixers like the S-9. As a very active/engaged DJ who scratches, juggles, blends, etc., I've found the Rane One to be incredible in every way, other than small personal preferences like location of some knobs, etc. Control-wise, it is amazing, with the platters being as close to a turntable as I've experienced yet, in feeling and response, and the fader is as good as good as any other mixer I have. It's also easier to play with other DJs thanks to the dual USB connections, making for easy switches between computers. It is literally like having the traditional battle DJ set-up, just much easier to transport and set up.

Loving This Controller!
Had to sell my Technic 1200’s years ago and stopped DJing. I would eventually buy a Pioneer DDJ-SB3 controller just for fun but that got old fast as I realized that it will always be spinning platters for me. I was on the fence if I should buy some used Technics or some other brand of new turntables and a mixer or get the RANE ONE. Well I guess it’s obvious which route I took and having no regrets. Thing is a beast and built like a tank! Heavy but way more lighter than turntables. I produce music more now but I wish they had this when I was doing DJ mobile gigs. Fits perfect on my home office/studio desk. Only negative I guess would be that the mixer has no on board effects but that doesn’t bother me. I’m more focused on the quality pads for cue points and samples to do some scratch and remix routines. Overall 5 stars for me!

Love it!
Love it! It’s kind of heavy and good quality and fun to use and operate. All the buttons and knobs are responsive and I’m excited to have this as my upgrade as I get more into DJing

It’s The One 😎
I’ve used other DJ controllers before but nothing compares to this absolute tank! This controller is very well built and I expected nothing less from Rane. They really outdid themselves with this. I’ve used the Rane Four which is newer and has tons of features also but the feel of motorized jog wheels just does it for me. It looks clean af and performs flawlessly. Highly recommend this for DJs who are scratch pros or even someone who is looking to learn. The Rane One is the one you want for sure 👍🏼

A Window Into My DJ Dreams
A window into my DJ dreams. It works as advertised, a bit of a learning curve but everything you've dreamed once you get over the initial learning.
