Great value
After shopping aimlessly for a paddle and not finding them for less than $200 locally, I found this jewel.While I'm sure the $200 -$500 paddles really make your paddling experience much better, I think for my cheap little portable/inflatable board, this was the perfect choice. I'm quite happy with the build quality of this and while I've seen some folks complain about various inexpensive paddles either sinking or snap holes not being machined correctly and requiring some modifications, this was not the case with this.

Good paddle, a little heavy

Sunk on the first usage
Allowed kids to play with our SUP.. the result -- the paddle is on the bottom of the lake. Lesson learnt -- look for floating paddles

Sturdy!!
I just received the SUP paddle; it arrived in perfect condition via UPS in a long flat box. The paddle is carbon fiber material, and the shaft is made out of very strong aluminum. There's a button in the middle to release the paddle. It's a nice dark red color. The top part extends up and has a stop line marked for maximum length extension, there's also a locking mechanism with a latch and a screw fastener so that the extension part will stay in the setting you put it at. I haven't used it SUPing yet and will update more about it's use later on, but for now it's a okay.

Sunk like a rock
Nice looking paddle, does NOT float. We purchased this paddle for our son. He was very pleased with the look and sturdiness of it. Forth ride in though he takes an epic spill off his board, and now this paddle rests on the bottom of Eagle Lake in northern Maine. Not even 3 seconds and the paddles was gone. I would not recommend this paddle.
