Is this product certified by the american shea butter institute? if so how would i know?

Our product is made and certified in Ghana by Ghana Standard Authority. Its a required process before exporting the container.

Does the proceeds go back into the ommunity of women tbat create this product?

On the package it doesn't actually say organic... how come it says it's organic on amazon? is this food grade cuz i don't see a label for food grade?

It is considered organic because of where it is being harvested: in the wild, far from manmade contaminants and pesticides. Visit their website, it will explain it.

Hello, does Amazon still place their own plastic packaging around this product, or does it simply come as the pouch?

Hi 👋 our Shea butter is packaged into plastic bags in Ghana and then put into the paper pouch. In order to use as less plastic as possible. But unfortunately we still have to use plastic because haven’t found an alternative way to ship it from Ghana to USA. 😒 Glass is to heavy, metal gets too hot, paper doesn’t hold the Shea butter when it melts ☹️ If you have ideas how we could end up using plastic for good, please share with us .. 🙏
