FABULOUS ALARM CLOCK THAT BRINGS LITTLE JOY TO EACH MORNING
I really like it. I wish it was bit more sophisticated looking but I will take it as it is.It has very nice selection of songs and lots to choose from to find a perfect song for the next morning.I don't speak Japanese and I had to figure it out on my own and I wanted to share it withthe next person looking at it to save frustration and or take away the guess work. While it it is not a rocket science, took me few seconds to figure it out. Here is how it works:Major parts from the top..Snooze button - it is that big thingy on the top. It sits there quietly. When your alarm will make sound then you can hit it and it will wait some few minutes and alarm will sound again, you can keep doing it till cows come home or get tired or will feel like time to wake up. I love it because I need some time to fully wake up from the time the alarm first sounds so I set it some ten minutes before the actual time I need to get up and sleep through few cycles of the snooze button hits. I just press it with my sleepy hand when the alarm goes on and it goes quiet and in few minutes I repeat..To completely turn off the alarm you will need to use this next button..:ON/Off Button - it is located on the right side of the clock as you look at it.In the upper position it is On, the alarm will sound when the clock reaches the hour and minutes you selected on the face.If you slide it down to the down position, alarm will not work. So for this clock to be just the clockand not to bother you with twice a day alarming on a set time, just slide the button to off position. However if you want to really make sure it will wake you up next day you need to remember toslide the button to the ON position. The button has slightly marked letters On and Off on it butyou can use marker and smudge a bit to see them more clearly. I wish factory made the letters in black.FACE:Of course you have arms of the clock .. hours and minutes, then a seconds hand and then an alarm setting arm.If you want to wake up at certain time of the day or night you need to set the time to that and thenslide the alarm to ON position. Now you are set.Beware - or be happy - the clock will sound alarm twice within 24 hours at the time you selected as this is normal analog 12 hour clock so this is fun. If you wake up let's say at 7 am.. and don't want this clock to bother you at 7Pm again, then turn it off in the morning. However if you use it every day at the same time you will need to remember to turn it on again in the evening in order to wake you up next morning. To set the time you need to use the same knob as the time hands. This is one of the classic analog clock that uses just one knob to do all the jobs.So it has two positions.. you can feel it as you turn it..turn and see what happens.. if nothing happens pull it up ever so slightly but without the roots!!!and you will see if you turn it now that alarm or hands will move.. so there is the secretjust play with it a bit and you will figure it out depending how much you pull the thingyit will activate one or another feature. If you push it back it sets the setting.Pay attention to the seconds arm.. it has to be moving to be sure that the clock is working.Front buttons on the bottom:That button on the left is to switch from one song group to another. They are divided into moods. That blue button in the middle switches from one song to anther within the group selectedso the song you pressed and listen to last, will be the one that alarm will play in the morning. The volume button - that guy on the bottom right, that is self explanatory, just turn it up or downto regulate the sound volume. To try it you must play song first and as it plays turn the volumeto adjust to your liking.Hope this helps. I love the clock. I wish it was less expensive as I would love to buy one for myself, this is for the kid but that price is very high.Otherwise, great clock and lots of fun. Songs are mostly Disney but also lots of classical music pieces.

Wonderful Melodies and sound.
I bought this to replace an old Japanese alarm clock that lasted over 45 years and really searched. This has a lovely sound that is pleasant to wake to and looks nice.

Nice watch with pleasant melodies
The clock has come a long way since it left Japan and arrived in Israel. But came to me just fine with 3 batteries attached. The melodies are pleasant and the watch is interesting and stable.

Not a SEIKO
Not a Seiko. Brand on clock says PYXIS. The tunes are labeled in Japanese. wished I had spent the few extra dollars and gotten the right one.
