Easy to install, tips on installation, inexpensive to maintain!
Great product for the price! The template was accurate for me. I measured the wrong section of ductwork thinking i had plenty of room, but where I ended up putting it was less wide, and it was a squeaker! The ductwork was 16" and the unit was 15 3/4". In hindsight, I would have added a spacer on the outside of the ductwork under the panel to give it a bit more room, but the bulbs weren't touching the far side, and are working fine. I can add a spacer later on. It was near impossible to keep the cutouts from falling in - they are still sitting in there. Ha! This unit replaced a very expensive UV system that was installed incorrectly over the furnace filter. DO NOT install this anywhere near the filter - the UV will shred them, and ultimately plug up your furnace. Also - the old unit did not cover a lot of space in the ductwork. You want to make sure you put this in the longest stretch of ductwork (straight - no corners) that you possible can. The longer the exposure time the air passing through gets, the more efficiently the UV will kill everything. Mine is installed along 20 feet of straight ductwork. I was spending $50 a tube x2 yearly for the old system, plus $140 a year for filters, changing them every 3 months. This unit saves me a lot of money! Two 72W tubes every 6 months for $35.00 available through the company. I am super happy with this! It didn't cost a ton of money, was easy to install, and is cheaper to maintain. And yes, it really works. I'm living in a moldy house, and it keeps me and my dog from becoming ill. I run the whole house fan a lot, so the air is going past the UV quite a bit, and it really makes a difference!

sturdy all metal construction, no ozone smell
Very impressed with construction quality of this UV light. The entire structure is made from sturdy metal. The flange that sits on the ductwork has a gasket material applied to it already. There are indicator lights for each bulb that show proper operation. Before installing, I tested this unit by running in a small room to make sure that it didn't produce ozone. After operating for several hours, I shut it off and stuck my nose inside and did not smell the classic metallic scent of ozone. It was a slight smell that reminded me of suntan lotion, but after doing some googling it appears that's the UV light interacting with materials inside the room I placed it. Installation was fairly easy for me since I already had a UV light that had failed. Just had to open up a couple of the holes since these bulbs were spaced further apart. Only negative I can point out is that the cord on this unit is way too short. I needed an extension cord to reach outlet to plug it in. Other than that it seems like a top notch unit with high quality construction and quality bulbs that don't produce ozone. Expect to replace the bulbs every 12 to 18 months if you're running it continuously. Even though the bulbs may continue to shine, the UV output does start to drop over time and while they may look like they're working the UV output might not be enough to control mold and mildew inside the ductwork.

Jury's still out on this one... *UPDATED*
First, even though the Amazon listing claims that the correct template is included in the box, it is NOT. Installation other than that was simple enough with the correct hole saw. Unit powered on with no problem and initially there were no concerns. After it had been running a while, every time the fan started on the air conditioner, there was a funky smell. It is a cross between hot electronics and something burning. I checked the unit and nothing is overly warm, even when sitting in an attic in Louisiana. I ended up turning the unit off for the rest of the night, but even then there was still an odor for a while. Going to contact the manufacturer and see what they say. UPDATE 1/22/2022: Went up to the attic today to store some stuff and unit is dead. Zero UV. Power switch lights up. Pulled unit off of duct and checked lamps to be sure they were seated correctly. Checked fuse anyway. Swapped lamps between sockets. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Amazon shows unavailable, so guess Iโm screwed.

It works.
Have 2 of these installed in my air inlet for my ac. Bought one, to see if it would hold up and it did so I bought another. The quality of the air, the smells in the house and feel of the air is much better. I cannot say 100% but I think my sinuses are better. I noticed cooking smells and other smells that would linger are gone in short order. The AC drain does not have that slime in it since this kills the mold and mildew that builds up and clogs the drains. Had other ones that were not strong enough and they did not hold up, died within a year. They also were not strong enough and but did make a difference that is why I tried these more powerful ones. These are effective, easy to install and use. The one has held up more than a year already and am going to replace the bulbs.

BioShieldUV
It works, I hope this brand last. The other brand didn't last, the lamp ballast failed just after one year. And it was expensive to maintain. The BioShieldUV 75Watt has two bulbs and the cost for two bulbs is 2/3rds cheaper than the old brand with one bulb at 18watts.

Doesn't Fit
This looks like a product well made and packaged with great care. It has been running for a few days but it's hard to tell how effective it is. In my situation I had only one small area it would work, and it was going to be a tight fit. I was glad to see the slotted screw holes, they can make installation mush easier except the screw head are too big to take advantage of this feature. That being said I think I'm going to order a set for the return air plenum

Good so far
The install was easy. Seems to be working as air quality in my rental "feels" cleaner and my wife hasn't had smell issues so far

Bad Smell!!
I was initially impressed with this unit. I read all of the reviews and was prepared for the installation issues regarding the wrong template etc. I used the shipping foam from the box as a template and it worked fine. Now the problem. I installed the unit in the plenum of my AC/Furnace above the evaporator coil. I started noticing a strong burning smell after turning the unit on and letting it run. The unit itself does not feel warm nor does the cord. I opened the access panel to the plenum and the smell immediately knocked me back. This means that the smell is being generated by the bulbs themselves inside the plenum. This is not a smell you can get used to or overlook. It chokes you after a few whiffs of it (at the source). I am disappointed because I had high hopes. The power (72 watts) and the price are both fantastic compared to lowered power more expensive units. I bought this to get rid of smells in my home. However, as much as I want to keep it, the smell it generates is worse than the smell I'm trying to get rid of. If the manufacture can't offer a solution I will have no choice but to return it. UPDATE: 09/19/2022 I contacted the manufacture via telephone and informed them of the bad smell. They immediately apologized and offered to send me an entirely new unit. Estimated delivery date 3-5 days. I will update after receipt and testing of new unit. UPDATE: 09/23/2022 Okay, this company gets 5 stars for customer service and timely responsiveness. I called them on Monday and informed them of the bad smell coming from the unit I originally purchased. They promised to ship me a new one and sure enough I received a new unit four days later. The smell is still present with the new unit but to a much lesser degree. If it does not get any worse, it could become bearable. Based on what I have been reading from other users of UV lights the smell could be ozone, I guess. I am hoping the smell dissipates the longer the unit runs. On another note, I noticed the Amazon price for this unit has gone from $89.00 to $124.97.
