Safety, stability, promotion of healing, mental health, independence
I have been a hospital Registered Nurse for 42 years. Recently I crushed my pelvis and had fractures of the spine. Using a typical walker was excruciating to use as bending over increased pain. The upright stance while using this walker and being able to bear the weight on my forearms made being mobile possible. Wide wheelbase made it stable and safe. Hand brakes worked smoothly and slowed/stopped me going downhill. The built-in seat felt strong and doubled as a shelf to carry a shopping basket. Bag provided attaches to walker for additional items on the go. No matter the brand this vertical walker style should be recommended for all folks needing assistance while ambulating during the healing phase. I cannot encourage the public enough to acquire a vertical walker style to promote comfort, to be mobile while healing, and being independent-which is the primary goal for older (and even younger) people. Medicare-age folks can apply to have some reimbursement on the purchase. I am of age but did not seek reimbursement. It was soooooooo worth the money for me to have this equipment to promote my comfort and in turn it brightened my mental health while I healed.

Purple Cadillac!!
Much better than the Granny Walkers. Makes it so I can stand and move around without assistance from family. Be careful though it can be a little unstable if you get excited and try to walk across grass or bumpy rug. I highly recommend it for back pain when your upper body strength isn't there. I have numbness in my left leg and foot, with this upright walker I can move with confidences that I won't fall.

Easy to use
The chair was easy to put together and fold up. They really enjoy using the walker. It's so easy to use, they look forward to using it at the casino.

OK, but...
Just returned from a 3 hour maiden voyage with this product. Very comfortable to use with my back problems. Found it to be sturdy, well engineered, and easy to assemble. Need to flatten the rear seat on my CRV to get it in to the cargo area. Was disappointed to find that after a couple of hours the brakes no longer adequately secured the wheels - apparently the cables stretch with use. There are no instructions provided to adjust and/or tighten the brakes, but it is possible to do it. This could become a problem as the wheel surfaces wear because the adjustment space is limited.Found it to be best and easilly used on flat, smooth surfaces - difficult to steer on slanted surfaces. Would not try to use it on trails or uneven or warped.boardwalks.Overall I will keep it but restrict its use as noted above.

High Tip-Over Risk
After using it, I found that it allowed me to stand upright completely and reduced the strain on my arms. However, due to a critical design flaw, it has caused some physical injuries.Design FlawThe front wheels are too short in length. From a mechanical perspective, since this walker is relatively tall, its center of gravity is also higher. If the front wheels do not extend far enough, the center of gravity shifts forward, leading to potential safety hazards:Crossing Crosswalks:When crossing the street, there is often an incline where the crosswalk meets the road, along with bumps or uneven seams (see attached images). This frequently causes the center of gravity to shift forward. Since the front wheels are too short, I have fallen forward three times within just over a month, resulting in scraped skin, bleeding, difficulty walking, and being unable to go out for days.Entering and Exiting Buildings or Platforms:There are ramps at building entrances and exits (see attached images). Due to the short front wheels, the walker easily tips forward, posing a significant safety risk. As a result, I always need assistance when going downhill.Sidewalk Slopes:Many sidewalks in New York have a slight outward slope (see attached images). When walking or turning, the short front wheels make the walker prone to tipping sideways. I have fallen sideways twice, suffering abrasions.Uneven Sidewalk Seams:The seams between sidewalk concrete slabs are often uneven (see attached images). Because of the short front wheels, even a small misstep can cause the walker to tip forward. I have fallen forward once because of this. All of these safety issues stem from the design flaw of the short front wheels. If you observe standard walkers, shopping carts provided in stores, or personal shopping carts, you’ll notice that their front sections are longer, and the rear wheels are positioned further forward, ensuring a stable center of gravity. So that they don't have the same tipping hazards, even on uneven surfaces.During my use, I met two other individuals using the same VIVE MOBILITY WALKER. They have experienced the same issues and share similar concerns about safety risks. They use it with extreme caution, always feeling anxious, and one of them is already considering stop using it.Manufacture response is "The Vive Mobility Walker is designed for stability on standard indoor and outdoor surfaces. However, it may not be suitable for very uneven terrain, inclines, or surfaces with significant bumps or gaps. We strongly recommend exercising caution in such environments and using additional support when necessary."This not listed on their website!!!!!!

Has locking break and is easy to assemble
A great rollator for the price. Not sure about the folks who couldn’t find the locking break for sitting or standing: you just have to read the directions! I had some trouble with one pushpin getting lost inside the leg but the company replied within an hour of sending them a message. With their help I retrieved the pushpin, got it back in place, and finished assembling in no time. I’m a 65 year old woman and had no trouble at all. The item is for my husband who is 5’11”. It accommodates his height just fine.
