Milwaukee makes the best tools
Milwaukee makes the best tools. This heat gun does not have all the fancy features of some other brands but it is very well made. I bought it to replace a Milwaukee heat gun that I bought thirty years ago. Simplicity is sometimes the best quality.

Best on the market for home gamer, but not a professional grade tool.
I order tools for a wire harness manufacturer. We use heat guns MUCH MORE than the average consumer. These heat guns were great for so long. If something went out, it would be the switch. Milwaukee makes the warranty process INCREDIBLY easy. That said, we have started using the warranty more and more in the past few years. What's going out now is the heating element. It seems Milwaukee has tried to save money, but their cost savings have cheapened their tools to a point where they are no longer a professional tool.Milwaukee, instead of skimping on the heating element and adding a thermister, just use the old heating element and throw in a better switch. Let me know when you make this change and I'll switch back to these heat guns. Until then, I'm going with the Makita HG6530VK.
