Are these made in the USA? I've been shopping for a pair, but can only find these labeled made in China.

Eagle Grip locking pliers are made in the old Vise Grip plant in Nebraska. Vise Grips have been made in China since 2008 or so. The Eagle Grips are about $35 to $40, or $80 from the tool truck.

How do these compare to the originals?

The current Vise-Grip is not as strong as the original Vise-Grip made in the USA. Ask any Farmer who uses them every day and they'll tell you. Don't blame China for that as Irwin gives the specifications to the the China company that builds the tool and China gives Irwin exactly to the contract specifications that Irwin demands.

Hello Would these unscrew cable wire❓❓

Like most of life, depends -- if you mean back of the tv cable, easy yes -- if you mean low gauge copper wire for industrial work, maybe. They are solid enough if your pressure is straight with the tool. However, if you need to do twisting at other angles I would not recommend these. They have a mild looseness in other directions that I would be concerned about tool wearing/breaking. Not saying these are bad, they are decent for the price. But when trying other angles the looseness in the tool results in the "firm" grip slipping. When I used them constrained to straight pressure they worked as expected.

Someone told me this can remove one way screws, any ideas? thx

Yes you can. Adjust the pliers to the one way screw and make it tight. You can carefully unbolt the screw. I used visegrips to remove my old security door screws this way.

Misaligned Tips

To be honest, I think this needs to be replaced. These long nose vice grips naturally close misaligned. One way they can't misalign at all but to the other side they are completely out. I haven't used them at all. I can't seem to submit a return which is frustrating.

Fantastic.

I saw on the torque test channel how vice grips out perform many other brands for locking pliers. I had a few locking pliers that game with tool sets and they looked nice, big rubber cushion grip handles and such, but they were terrible for holding material. These have the key opening so you can really get them locked on. Fantastic, they perform very well. I got rid of my other fancy ones, I think their probably more for looks than anything. But these, they're about getting the job done, which in my book is the most important factor in a tools usefulness. Highly recommend.
